I would like to point out that i have received a lovely email from Artensoft apologizing for the problems concerning the 64bit problems they also have stated that they have fixed the problem with x64 systems,They enclosed a link with the email and i am pleased to say that it works perfectly and i will definitely be buying more products from Artensoft in the future I just wish there was more companies who were nice and listened to customers feedback and acted upon it.

It seems like the version available here is only compatible with 32 bit architecture; infered based on the following exception that is raised on program launch. Is GOTD going to provide 64 bit version? If not this program is useless of those who have 64 bit machines.

=====
An attempt was made to load a program with an incorrect format. (Exception from HRESULT: 0x8007000B)

Using Win7 64 bit RC Ult I ran the setup and it came back as activated. I clicked the icon and the next second it came back as (Artensoft Photo Editor quit working). I re-booted my computer and tried again. Same result. As soon as I clicked the icon the message immediately sprang up - Artensoft Photo Editor quit working. I was looking to see if the slide show part was interesting. Un-installed.

Asus Eee 1000HE installs and runs great. Haven't had a chance to run it yet, but it seems stable enough after about an hour playing with its features using the installed photo array. Keeping things in perspective, I am grateful for anything that comes my way without a price tag or hoops to jump through. GAOTD is doing a fine job providing us with FREE programs that other people pay hard earned cash for. Sure, we find bugs and often things aren't as we would have had them had we learned programming and designed the software ourselves. That's what the forums are for. Troubleshoot and learn a thing or three from each other. Keep striving for perfection and i'll maintain with my flaws. Thanx GAOTD for all you do for us. Merry Christmas to all who believe; and Happy Holidays to those of you who don't.

Another program that has little value or use as it is and might be decent if it is re programed tobe usable on Vista and 7 as well as giving it more tools to work with.

In other words this is a very basic program that is not worth paying anyting for.

#7, Damian, is your Model T still running well, too? I wouldn't bother to develop for, test on, or support XP. Developers are partly to blame for people continuing to run long-obsolete operating systems. As for the usual "I have no money/don't want to spend it" whine, computer technology advances rapidly. You can probably buy a $200 computer that stomps whatever you're using.

#30, TK, False. .NET has been around a long time, you should know how it works by now. It's not as language-neutral as Microsoft claims, no one at Microsoft would know a real programming language if they saw one. As for your remarks yesterday about blocking Internet access, you need some real security software, anything as primitive as whatever you're using leaves your computer and data at risk.
