I downloaded this and activated it, showed to be registered, didn't try to use it again for a few days, now it says it was a Trial version and to keep using it I must buy it. So I uninstalled it. I wish these people would put half as much effort into making sure that their program can be used as promised as they do in trying to prevent it. This site is becoming irrelevant to me due to such shenanigans.

It works! I had been looking over the past few days for a full Airplay server for Windows. There are some, but not free. LonelyScreen works, but only does video, not audio. I have just installed this on my Win10, 64b system and it works well. It does require Bonjour, but that can be installed without iTunes. (The iTunes installer is an archive which you can open with 7-zip and extract the Bonjour msi.)
I could install this on my kangaroo, but Bonjour doesn't work on that machine's processor, so the program doesn't work to show up on my iPhone 6s.Thanks GOTD and Apowersoft.

Installed this on Windows 10 64bit HP desktop, no problems. Except: when it works, it works fine, but sometimes takes a long time for Airplay to ever show up in Iphone5s, sometimes does not show up at all. Same results on HP laptop with Windows 10.

Intalled in Windows 10 Pro 64bit without any issue. Then tried to link up with my iphone 6 through Airplay and it worked too. However, when I tried to play online video like Youtube and Youku, the link broke immediately. So this software is still buggy and unstable.

Launching the software tells you about a newer version (which is safe to update too; not sure why it wasn't in the download). Running it (after activating it), you will see "How to use Apowersoft iOS Recorder?". Clicking on that launches Internet Explorer, not your default browser. You will end up at http://www.apowersoft.com/how-to-use-ios-recorder.html In addition, you will see a big green Download button at the end of the Get started section. If you fall for that, it installs Apowersoft Phone Manager, which isn't free. Ignore that and you'll be fine.

You can change the display quality from 720p to 1080p in Options as well as various video formats.

Installed easily and worked perfectly on W10 x64 Pro system & iPhone 5 for screen shots (did not try recording). Thank You.

However captured screen shots, although adequate, are not at maximum resolution - not super sharp.

Encountered errors after install from GOTD package on system running XP Home (a "mature" system with all available updates). After installation then activation, two windows pop up: the main window (v1.0.2), and an update window on top that detected a newer version (1.0.3).

Almost immediately a Windows error dialog box also popped up:

"Apowersoft iPhone Recorder has encountered a problem and needs to close.

What data does this error report contain?

    EventType: clr20r3
    P1: apowersoft iphone recorder.exe
    P2: 1.0.2.0
    P3: 56cfee88
    P4: airplayer
    P5: 1.0.2.0
    P6: 56cfee85
    P7: 377
    P8: 48
    P9: system.dllnotfoundexception"

(Which also contained another link towards the bottom:)

"View the contents of the error report" (but I was not allowed to select/cut/copy/paste contents of that new dialog box of details)

Restarting the machine did not help. I uninstalled it using Revo Uninstaller.

Next I tried downloading the trialware installer (for v1.0.3) directly from the Apowersoft iPhone/iPad Recorder page, then ran the GOTD "Activate"; but apparently that is tied to only v1.0.2 as a window popped up (over the main application window) "Trial version will expire after 3 day(s)".

After clicking on the "Evaluate" button in that window, there was a momentary delay, then another message box appeared: "Failed to start AirPlay server" "Bonjour service is not running" including a "Start service" button which I clicked on.

Next was another box "Bonjour service is not installed on this computer, would you like to download and install it now? Yes/No"

At this point it appeared that the v1.0.3 application itself was likely running properly without the error v1.0.2 experienced; but as v1.0.3 is apparently unable to register properly using the GOTD "Activate" and thus destined to remain trialware, I stopped and uninstalled it.

Thanks for the timely offer, though -- I just got an iPad a couple of weeks ago and was eager to try this out!

Just tried to install this on a different XP system, but got a similar error (something to do with DllNotFound). This time I looked in the Events for Applications, saw "error" entries for each attempt to run (all were identical) which indicated something possibly related to .NET:

As far as I know, that is the latest/greatest version of .NET possible for XP.

As mentioned previously, I had earlier attempted to install v1.0.3 using the installer downloaded directly from the Apowersoft website. Though that apparently did not "activate" properly (that I could tell) when using the GOTD-provided file ACTIVATE.EXE, it did appear to remain running without similar error(s) up to the point where it was detecting that the BONJOUR service was not running (or not installed), at which point I exited and uninstalled that copy.

It would seem that today's version 1.0.2 has issues as others have also experienced. Perhaps we all had Windows XP in common?...

I would like to try a more stable version when available. Or perhaps Apowersoft has suggestions to try for those of us who still have the (presently non-functional) software installed?

Does the computer have to be a Mac, or just the phone being mirrored?

Normally Giveaways are for PC only. I see this lists, under System Requirements: iOS 7 or later. Does this mean it would install on a MacBook Pro?

I don't own a MacBook, but I know they run on versions of OS X. iOS as required by this title is the operating system used by the mobile touchscreen devices iPhone, iPad, iPod, etc.

Ah, I think I know what you're getting at:

Again, not owning a MacBook I am not certain of this by personal experience, but believe that with Airplay built into Apple products, perhaps they natively can display the screens of the Apple iOS mobile family of devices (mentioned above) on the Apple OS X devices (MacBooks, desktops, etc.); i.e., without 3rd-party software applications.

Today's title is needed to allow Windows-based PCs to do the same.

Thank you. I'm fairly new to Mac, so I missed the distinction between iOS and OSX.

iOS and OS X are two entirely different things. iOS runs on iPods, iPhones, & iPads, while OS X runs on a MAC.

With an entire galley of iphone and android program giveaways, why is a non-pc program today's offer? It makes zero sense.

Not a bad application ,but the description doesn't seem to be accurate, OR I am doing something wrong. The description read "Apowersoft iPhone/iPad Recorder is a powerful and jailbreak-free application for you to mirror and record any activities on your iOS devices along with sound."

Note that it says 'ANY activities'. Within 5 minutes I have discovered many activities that it won't record. Namely: 1) Youtube Application Sound and Video 2) Phone Call Audio 3) Facetime Audio

Can Apowersoft please confirm whether recording those activities is possible or not? I DO hope that I am doing something wrong and that somehow they will show us how to record them. So far everything I have tried fails.

I sent for a link to get this software but am concerned that when the page loaded it had someone else's email addy that I've never seen before already there. It began jeanette@ . I'm concerned that the sys is somehow holding on to the previous email address for the next person to see when they ask for the link to be emailed. I've seen this happen before. I used an email addy of mine that's for spam so if someone else sees it, it won't mess up my main email account but please look into this. Thanks.

I'm really looking forward to trying this software as my iPhone 5c screen is small so it will be nice to see if I can play games on my monitor instead.

Well, have to say I'm disappointed. The lag time is really unbelievable. I had to wait minutes for the PC monitor to reflect what was on my iPhone 5c and more minutes after I moved or went somewhere else in the app I was mirroring. Not sure why and really it's a moot point because I can't change my ISP and I'm on a very high cable WiFi connection with no lags on anything else I'm using it for - including my TV which is in another room, behind a closed door. Will try it a couple more times but so far, looking like I may just delete it. Too bad.

Also, it should give directions on how to rotate the view. I had to play around on my own by going to full screen and back to find out that changed the orientation. There should just be a link atop or under settings to do that.
