Installs went ok on XP sp3. Register "buttons" had to be teased out of nonverbal buttons w/ little indication of their register function. The joiner GUI was missing the right side and the bottom which contained the requisite sites for registration and for operating the trial version. (I think they were actually hoping we'd buy the pos.) The mp3 extractor does not work at all. The converter failed to turn flv to mpeg1. The "slick" GUI interfaces look like they were designed by a truckstop retail designer. All around a shabby day for giveaway of the day.

Downloaded fine
While running GAOTD setup program kept saying something like "cann not access - try again later"

After a computer re-boot - program installed with little difficulty. Used the licenses provided - all were accepted .....

However ..... In actual use - I tried to convert some video to AVI and to MPG. The results were both zero length files

Program didn't work at all (video converter, that is) making the combo useless

At that point all programs were un-installed

needs work ! ... sorry ....

Ok, this is what finally worked for me for the Video Joiner on Vista 32 bit:

1. Add Register server to DEP exceptions to get the program installed.
2. Add VideoCreator.exe to DEP exceptions to get the programs GUI displayed.

- What happens when I run it is as yet unknown.

Comments above about testing and validation apply. This really shouldn't be necessary on this sort of application, and begs the question as to whether it's worth the risk.

All 3 programs installed OK on XP, but Video converter & Video joiner close about 7 seconds after starting, with ModName: qedit.dll.

Video joiner also has a Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Library error.

"This application has requested the Runtime to terminate it in an unusual way."

All installed on Vista x32,
Vista x64 is a different story. Kept getting registry catalogue errors during install, clicked to check problem (more times than I can count) and ended up with three working programs after much trouble.
Will not install/run on Linux

RE Video Converter:
To slightly modify what's stated up at the top of the list, it appears to support SOME MKV files, but not others. Not sure why since they each have the same video/audio stream types inside. Use *.* in the open box to bring them up in the list.
Funny, this has 720p and 1080p output, and higher HR resolution settings; but IS LIMITED TO 1024k video bitrate? Who's bright idea was that?

Other notes:
The interface is terrible. This really needs either tabs or a menu bar that we can use. If I wanted a Mac interface I'd use Apple software. I use windows because it DOESN'T look like that.

Lots of output formats. Lots of choices, only real issue is the bitrate setting are capped too low.

Looks like this is targeted for specific portable players, more than being a general use converter.

On the free end, VirtualDubMod http://sourceforge.net/project/showfiles.php?group_id=65889
and hundreds of plugins can do everything this does and more, with a limited learning curve.
Jodix has a free video to audio ripper, http://www.dvd-mp3.org/

For an easy to use Pay alternative, try Ultra Video Converter http://www.aone-media.com/videoconverter.htm ; still my favourite. And use with Jodix, for mp3 rips.
UVC is much more flexible in terms of settings as well.

Others suggest handbrake, worthy of mention but I'm no fan, so it's up to you on that.

All apps work fine on Win 7. They have a nice looking UI (actually three) and many good features. Too bad there are some nasty typos in the programs (poor translation), but the programs are good anyway. Thumbs up.

Downloaded and tried to install on Vista x64 and the install kept telling me that the "Microsoft Register Server has stopped working".
I was finally able to install it on a Vista 32 bit version after disabling DEP for regsrv32.

After messing around for a while I downloaded another version of the Aplus Video Suite and was able to install on Vista x64.

other than those problems, its seems a bit slow. I have recently been using a Nvidia CUDU based video converter.
