Has anyone else had a problem with this burner not FINISHING any dvd rips? Maybe it's just my copy, but it makes me very sad! I get an error halfway through each rip, and the program closes. Sad indeed.

I've been looking for this for a while, it works pretty well for me... except that it is a bit slow, and it stops automaticly even when the job is not finished yet.

It will get the job done though, so I'm happy.

I've tried 5 different movies several times each, but each time an error always comes up 30-40%; the farthest I've gotten is 63.72%. If it makes any difference I've been using it to convert to my Zune. I guess I will have to try out SUPER?

I was thrilled when I downloaded this software but after having used I am not so happy. It is very slow and the sound and pictures are completely out of sink. too bad cos it really has potentials with all the different conversions possible

I tried the program seemed to be good, put disc in, about 3/4 way done it crashed. Now that is not my biggest problem. I deleted it. My problem is that I use Roxio to do the actual burning of my disks. Since trying this program Roxio won't search for my movies. I have shut down system to many times to count, restored computer, deleted Roxio & then reinstalled it. Still no luck. Any idea's of what this program did to my system? I had things working slick until this. I just want to get my Roxio back the way it was & don't know what to do?

Installed this software on two systems with the same results.
Didn't work. Started the program and then it crashed.

This program was my first experience with GOTD and it wasn't pleasant. This program crashed on 4 different computers I tried to rip from (all XP based). It would encode most of the disk (thus wasting all the time it could) and then crash leaving you an unusable file you had to delete.

I downloaded and installed Aplus DVD Ripper and tried it on two movies - a copied movies that I had made previously and another flick from Sony (which has the most notoriously difficult protection to break). Both failed and I was on the verge of giving up and deleting it from my machine (XP Home Service Pack 2).

Then I began to do some reading in this forum and found some references to other ripper programs, and on one page a review of a freeware program called DVD43. DVD43 is not a ripper, but runs in the background and strips off any protection from a disc in your DVD drive.

Their site is www.DVD43.com

I installed DVD43 then tried the Aplus DVD Ripper again and it worked like a charm! It allowed me to copy DVD's I had tried and failed with other back-up programs and allowed me to convert problematic DVD's to fit on my Zune without a hitch.

As for Aplus DVD Ripper it seems a nice, one-step program to use so I can now quickly rip my DVD's onto my Zune so long as I also use DVD43 in the background. It's a bit slow and takes at least as much time to rip the DVD as the DVD's original playing time. My only other gripe is you would think that the developer would be a little more original than to use a screenshot from an iPhone as the cover art - pretty weak if you ask me.

If you own a Zune then I can recommend Aplus DVD Ripper and DVD43.

Cheers - Jonathan
