I have the previous version. When I run Apache, I will use that one if I need it.

This program is very poorly optimized. After waiting for load the log, any action you select the program load AGAIN de info.
Also have very limited options for filtering and sorting the info.

For me, is not worth for the $15 this cost

As a person who tries to survive on disability payments, I am always grateful for things that are given to me freely without hidden agendas. I am thankful for this site whether it offers me something that I want or not. I am thankful for this site because it has allowed me to learn many things that I would have had no opportunity to learn otherwise. With what I have learned, I have been able to teach others who aren’t loaded with money. I have also been able to contribute to the entertainment and enjoyment of others because of this site.

It only takes a moment to check and see what software is being offered today. If it isn’t something that I want, I simply move on. I don’t understand why people put so much effort into complaining about the software offerings. Do you really think that it makes you look good? Since I only have a vague idea of an apache server is, I don’t need this software but I will be back tomorrow to see what is offered then. I will be thankful for this site whether I choose to download the software or not.

Okay……Here are the REAL facts re legality of free software (designated for non-commercial use) being used commercially. There are several essential ingredients which are necessary to complete a legal and binding contract. One of these essential elements is the exchange of ‘valuable consideration’(i.e. anything of value…1 cent would suffice).
The publisher fulfills their end by supplying software as valuable consideration BUT because it is free the user gives nothing of value in return. Consequently, no legal contract is formed (it is merely an agreement) and any restrictions stipulated by the publisher are unenforceable. This is not the case with ‘paid for’ software however, because you pay $$$ for it, valuable consideration has been exchanged and a legally binding contract has been entered into, inclusive of any restrictions of use.

I’m a little confused, people…
Even if your web server runs on Unix/Linux, what stops you from downloading your logs from there and running this program on your Windows system? ;>
Or even, I bet that W.I.N.E. could run this program without a problem – Windows need not even be involved. So there :>

As for the comment of this being for ‘power users’ – Yeah, it is. So? As several people here have commented, the variety is a nice thing. I’ve seen PLENTY of applications (and games, on GGaotD) that I wasn’t interested in. I simply didn’t download them. And yet, even in those cases, the only comments I made were to help people, even if I didn’t try out the programs myself.
Also, if you don’t need the software, don’t comment. Developers aren’t interested in knowing whether or not their software applies to you: Obviously, if it isn’t useful to you, you’re not their target. They want to know how they can improve the software for their target market. Simple.

I’ll repeat this piece of advice for the benefit of everyone:
If you don’t like the software being offered here, register on the forum and post a link to the software titles you’d like to see being given here. That’s all it takes. Eventually, it’ll show up here – trust me. (The only thing that would stop that from happening is if it’s an unreasonable request, like Microsoft products.)

There are moderators on all sites you go to, whether you like it or not. It’s their responsibility to make sure the site remains clean. Please remember that your presence here is a privilege, not a right.

#24 has a good point on open source software, but that’s not the point here, sadly. Business often run on a very, very strange way of seeing things: If it’s free, it’s no good, but keep the costs as low as possible even if it makes us look bad if we got exposed.
This has always confused me.

Quigs (#31) – Perhaps because the products here aren’t as big, mature and/or well-known as other software you know or use. That doesn’t mean, however, that all titles here are beta tests or incomplete titles. Developers need to know what to fix, add or change to their programs so that people will actually find it useful and buy it; Without comments from others, how else would they know? Guess?
And yes, it’s possible there are beta programs that show up here – I’m not going to deny that. However, just because they may be (or are) beta programs doesn’t mean you should snub them – they may grow to be very useful programs in the future, and may be less expensive than paid alternatives and more powerful than free alternatives, Do you want to deny yourself that possibility?

this would probally be a great program for a business. but since businesses cant use this program free from GAOTD, it’s useless, for the average joe!
I’m really starting to look forward to the weekend offerings here lately!

Most users are actually grateful for your efforts and many make no comments.
