I really like this program. Made use of it for a website I maintain.

However, my old laptop died, and I lost this program (downloaded from GOTD) in the process.

Is there any way for me to get it back with the GOTD licensing, or am I stuck paying the sticker price to be able to use this again?

I like AllWebMenu Pro because it requires no JavaScript experience to create the web menus. It took less time for me to create eye-catching web menus.
I suggest AllWebMenu Pro to make your webpage menus attractive.

*****Keeper***** Very nice program if you are a developer or web designer. Keep in mind you really have to register to get the LONG KEY 50+ letters which will actually activate the software. Registration is worth it, no big deal and very easy. Hats off to GAOTD and Linko. Thanks.

This is Aris from Likno Software team.

Hello,

since now we have replied to all emails sent to our SUPPORT with the aim to solve the particular issues you experience with activation.

Again, no one will be left behind! (i.e. without free and working license!)

Now, some answers to comments above:

@99 - Jeff — September 22nd, 2010 at 6:05 pm
@103 - Jim Stone — September 22nd, 2010 at 7:14 pm
@121 - Bea — September 23rd, 2010 at 12:34 am
@124 - jack — September 23rd, 2010 at 2:00 am

The issues you experience with the Activation Form are usually attributed to the antivirus/antispyware etc. Please contact us at SUPPORT AT LIKNO DOT COM, we believe we have a solution to that problem for your configurations. Thanks!

@82 - Jim — September 22nd, 2010 at 6:45 pm
This should not be a problem, many users install to other drives, I believe there is something specific in your PC that prevents that? Please contact us at SUPPORT AT LIKNO DOT COM. Thanks!

@104 - Mothballs — September 22nd, 2010 at 7:24 pm
It appears that you used an apostrophe inside your password, something like "adam's password". Then your email client changes this character to a different apostrophe character, and this is why you could not login when pasting this to the form.

@105 - Best — September 22nd, 2010 at 7:37 pm
You are correct, re-activations on the SAME installation (above the same license) do NOT reduce your activations.

@110 - Fink — September 22nd, 2010 at 9:19 pm
You can use this free license for any commercial project, no problem with that!

@115 - Brown — September 22nd, 2010 at 11:07 pm
We know what the problem is with your PC, please contact us at SUPPORT AT LIKNO DOT COM to send you what is needed. Thanks!

I have installed this GAOTD, and activated without any problems; there are more steps than usually, but all went smoothly; application looks powerfull, I am very satisfied with first impressions! I am also positively surprised by influence and amount of comments of Likno team members above, looks like they closely followed all coments during entire period, and tried to resolve all issues that arised, which makes them looking serious and proffessional company!

Thanks to GAOTD and Likno for this valuable software!

There's a FREE Theme Pack available with extra Themes! Go to the Theme & Templates page on their website, having logged in to your registered user area @ http://www.likno.com/userarea/themepackarea.php and look for FREE 001 and download the version 5 link. You'll need to extract the zip file and copy the contents of the 'Vertical' folder to the Theme Gallery/ Vertical folder in Program Files/ All Web Menu 5 folder, or extract directly to the Theme Gallery in Program Files, (or where you installed AWM5)!

I've successfully installed this program on Windows XP SP3 on an AMD Athlon 64 machine.

After installation, the sudden popups were a bit disconcerting, but I just used my head and followed the instructions in the readme file.

I didn't need to go to the "Help" --> "Enter Activation Code", and there was a big Activation window right at the start, with an "Activate" button, which when pressed automatically picked up the free CouponID. All I had to do was to use the link to the Likno website and create my account, upon which I got the activation code, which I then pasted back into the program's Activation window to complete the process.

I haven't really delved into the program yet, but the look and feel of the program is very professional. I think I've used a demo version long ago, and that was good as far as I recall.

I've also downloaded the free Menu Theme Pack 1 from the Likno website. If Likno team can provide more free themes and plugins to your registered users, it will be highly appreciated, and we would be more inclined to buy more software from Likno.

All in all, I think this is a recommendable GOTD, and just the fact that the Likno development team is so supportive and proactive in responding to issues (and willing to work 12+ hours just to support a free giveaway) provides me with a huge amount of confidence in their products. This kind of indepth customer support is a rarity in these days and should be applauded.

Thumbs up from me - I would like to see more such free or discounted offers from Likno - you guys (and gals) rock !!

Thanks GOTD for this unique partnership with Likno!

I've set up my own drop-down menus using open source web code, but it's not the easiest and you need to know exactly how to mod it to suit!

Pretty impressive support from the site. I am primarily using web-based templates as you just cut/paste or type content. I use 1and1.com but similar offerings are available from many sites including the old homestead.com which is now part of intuit. Clients provide text, pics and graphics and I can charge $20-$33 a page and complete one in about 15 minutes. These are professionally designed template with many choices of design and colors. I will check this out, it is always good to have options and new tools. Thanks!!!

I was excited to see this software being offered today. I've been waiting for this for a while. The installation process was followed step by step. I have to admit that I did wait over 18 hours to go forward with it. By waiting I did have a chance to read everyone's comments and also learn from the quick replies from the company.

By them replying that really closed the deal with me. Now I'm going shopping at the Likno Software website, thank you Suzan Doyle
for the replies on this board and thank you GAOTD team for giving this software to us.

with respect

Every time I start the program, it begins looking for some setup program for backup. Is this part of the program or is this something already on my computer that's causing this. I have to cancel the search twice quickly to end the attempt so that it will start the AllWebMenus program. Any suggestions?

I've been using GAOTD & software offered here for years, but this is my first comment (forgive, please :D).

I wanted to comment specifically this time because I'm just "that impressed" by the value & benefits this software offers.

Personally, I've never liked using menu building software because I've never found one that had templates/themes I liked enough; they always required so much editing - to look the way I wanted/make them unique - that I decided it was mostly easier & preferable to code & create from scratch, even though I'm not a coding genius by any means.

However, I've now changed my mind - at least in regards to this particular menu builder. I downloaded AllWebMenus 'just in case' it would be useful, but what really caught my attention & was the deciding factor is that Likno offers add-ins & extensions I'll be able to put to great use - specifically the Dreamweaver extension & the Joomla/WordPress add-ons. The fact that the developer has been following this page closely & responding to questions & problems (and promised users who've had installation/activation issues that they won't lose their license after this giveaway is closed) was also a very deciding factor, for me.

Once downloaded, AllWebMenus installed, activated & started perfectly and uneventfully on my Windows 7 (Home Premium) 64-bit machine. I don't have time to do much with it at the moment, but I'm looking forward to playing with it. The fact is, AllWebMenus has some great-looking themes *and* allows for creation of custom themes. All themes are easily editable too, from what I've been able to tell from my quick(ish) look through the program.

At first I was a bit concerned when I discovered that it's maybe not going to be as simple/inexpensive to use AllWebMenus on Joomla/WordPress/Drupal sites as I initially thought. I stupidly assumed it would be as easy as getting the giveaway, creating my menus & then installing the related add-in as needed on the related site. After installation/activation, though, I saw mention on the Likno site about needing to purchase Server Side Menu API domain licenses in order to use the menus on these sites. However, from a menu item within the AllWebMenus program ('Add-Ins'), I was able to check my licensed add-ins online, in my Likno user account area.

Much to my surprise and pleasure - and relief! - the page that opened showed me this message: "You have an Unlimited Domains License, so you do not need to allocate any domains."

I'm SO pleased to find that this program offers such value, in addition to the benefits of having the program itself... this means potentially *huge* savings (and that usually equals a related profit) that comes with this giveaway, for designers! Although I haven't created any menus with it yet, I'm a very satisfied 'customer' simply because of what I've discovered about AllWebMenus so far, as noted above.

Thank you so much, Likno - for the software, for the value it includes, and for being here today to support your product & potential users - and also to GAOTD for your project that every day brings us wonderful (mostly :D) softwares like this one, with the opportunity to try them out free.

To Likno - seeing what I see so far, I'll definitely be considering purchase of other software from you, once I have time to snoop around your site a bit & see if you've got anything else I need or that will make my life easier.

(Also, thanks to all my fellow GAOTD users who *do* comment here frequently (unlike lazy me), as your comments have often helped me make decisions about some of the softwares GAOTD offers daily.)

Installed and registered just fine with Windows XP SP3. After installation, made a simple menu. Looks really nice.
You have to "compile" the menu and the software prompts you for your site's root directory. Then it creates some HTML code for you to put in your file, but that HTML code **doesn't point to the root directory** but simply refers to the relative filename.js. So if your HTML/php file is not in the root, the browser won't run the javascript since it is looking in the wrong place. The instructions should be more clear, and users should be prepared to edit their HTML snippet.

Thanks Susan for the chance to use such a neat software for free! I know it says to not use for commercial, but if we use it to add to our website that is monetized and is our own, is this ok or is this going against the rules? Thanks for your answer or whoever can answer this for me. One time I asked the people supplying a piece of software said it was alright to use it even if your site was using Adsense. Thanks again and thanks GOTD.

Installed, activated, etc. in a straightforward way as per the ReadMe, and it's also now running just fine (with no problems, knock on wood). All the above on a dual-core AMD 7750 using 32 bit Windows XP Pro SP3. So far, I am very pleased, and I hope I don't have any bad surprises. Assuming that will not be the case, I'd like to thank GAOTD & Likno.

AllWebMenus Pro is simply the best menu software I have ever used. As a web designer I am always looking for software programs that make my life a little easier. So, over the years I have purchased more than a half dozen menu programs. Of them all, AllWebMenus Pro offers the most useful themes, the easiest interface, and the easiest customization features. It took less than 5 minutes to download and install. But, because there are so many themes it took nearly an hour for me to review all of them. I am now of the opinion that this software will replace all the other menu software programs I currently have in my arsenal. AllWebMenus Pro will literally save me hours of work. Thank you so much for offering it as a Give Away of The Day. I will most certainly purchase your products in the future. Keep making intuitive software such as this one and you have gained a customer for life.

Hey, just finished installing my OS, and the giveaway was still on, so i installed this software again.

Like many others here, I too spent ages jumping through a ridiculous number of hoops before I eventually stumbled upon the right combination of kludges that enabled me to register this product - by which time, I was too angry to even try it out. Not a strong selling-point, is it.

Once I've finally regained my composure, I'll see how today's giveaway compares to similar offerings from Xara and Adobe, etc., that I've paid good money for.

Likno otherwise seem like a reasonable company, so, in case they find the info useful, I did note that the registration details confirmed to me in their 'Likno User Area Account' email contained an extra, spurious, character in the password.

Installed OK under Win 7 Pro x64.
The help system has links (that work!) to the extra s/w needed to make AllWebMenus work with Joomla. I haven't yet tried it but the instructions on the web seem quite sensible. The menus certainly look good and it seems easy to generate them.
I'm not clear if the licence conditions permit me to use this on website I maintain for a small charity.
For the present, I expect to stick to pure CSS drop-down menus for my own use but I can see that folk who don't want to invest time in learning the subtleties of CSS would find a product like this handy.

Thanks to GAOTD and Likno software for this useful program. The registration process was a little more complex than some giveaways but worth it for the value being received. Installed with no problems on Windows XP Pro with SP3. The included add-ons for use with Wordpress, Drupal and Joomla are particularly appreciated, and I look forward to seeing how they work out as I test AllWebMenus in the field. The good customer service provided here encouraged me to download this in trust that if I had any difficulties, they would be addressed. So far, so excellent!

#78: "... And, as others have pointed out, writing to the Windows folder is likely to cause future problems in W7"

Not really -- what difference would/could it make? Simplified, both Windows & Windows apps need to be able to find any files they need. You can put a needed file in the program's folder, so it's right there for the executable [.exe], but then no other app can find it. TO solve that you can add the file path in the registry, so everything knows where it is, but there's still a downside -- if you uninstall the app that file's gone. So shared files typically go where they won't be deleted, & where everything can find them, which is in one of the Windows folders where most every app + Windows looks 1st. In fact, install the VB runtime from Microsoft & that's right where it'll put the files -- that's where they belong.

* * *

#88: "... Well, no activation for me. Just errors on Win 7 64 bit with Avast disabled..."

Assuming your prob is with activation, not running, have you been running as admin?... may be necessary to write keys to registry. Might also reboot before trying activation in case of volatile entries like I recorded. And *might* check HKLM\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\Likno Software\AllWebMenus\PRO to make sure it's there & permissions allow writing to it.

Good point, but if you're doing pro work you should buy it anyway -- it's a legit biz expense then that gets charged to clients, against profits for taxes etc. For at-home DIY work, older web features will still work -- just not the latest/greatest -- so no prob. IMHO.

Thanks Aris....went to your website, downloaded the program and installed it, however it won't let me activate it with the GOTD2209
code n the read me file, I also tried to use the Installation code found on the bottom of the activation window and it won't accept it either. Where do I go from here, I am now in TRIAL MODE. Thanks, Tony

AllWebMenus seems a well-developed, capable & mature app, that IMHO will take those less experienced in web design a little while to explore & use. It uses VB [Visual Basic], & .NET got involved during installation in 7, so if you have problems getting it up & running I think I'd maybe start there [e.g. other VB apps (that may have messed something up) &/or .NET updates avail? etc.]. AllWebMenus makes use of D3D [Direct 3D], so things might seem to slow down slightly running it on systems without any D3D acceleration [the CPU has to make up for it]. It also used Internet Explorer (for those without it installed). Otherwise it doesn't make too many demands on your PC/Laptop. Activation is more or less self-explanatory if you go to the URL listed in the GOTD Readme.txt file, & once your account & the app are activated it says that you can re-activate your license 3 more times if you change hardware -- I don't know if re-activation is limited with the GOTD or not.

Installing AllWebMenus adds a program folder with 1741 Files in 133 folders taking up ~28MB... there are lots of samples etc. A Likno folder is added under [UserName] \ Application Data [XP] or App Data \ Roaming [7], with InstallMate folders added to All Users \ Application Data [XP] or All Users & Program Data [7]. Uniextract doesn't work with their setup.exe file, so I don't know what it contains -- comctl32.ocx, comdlg32.ocx, mscomctl.ocx will be added to the system folder if/as needed, along with 6 other VB files & zlib.dll [those other VB files appear to be part of UniToolbox VB developer tools/code]. With the VB/ActiveX files come a lot of registry additions -- over 9000 recorded in the XPMode VM. As expected I recorded the same changes in a 7 ult 32 VM [those VB/ActiveX files are going to register with Windows much the same way regardless the Windows version, & it has little or nothing to do with AllWebMenus developers], but during install in 7 .NET seems to have gotten involved with over 70k temporary [volatile] adds that [thankfully] disappeared on reboot. The app itself mainly adds Uninstall keys along with one in HKCU & 1 in HKLM, plus some file associations.

Showing AllWebMenus to my web design guru he seemed appreciative, noted the resemblance to Dreamweaver, & showed me the alternative he's been using [http://jquery.com/].

Program installed fine on windows 7 64Bit. I'd like to say a big thanks to GAOTD and Linkno the company person who is giving all the support for this one. Thanks Susan. Often there is little if any support from the companies giving away. You have done the community valuable service.

Well, no activation for me. Just errors on Win 7 64 bit with Avast disabled. Sent and email to support almost a half hour ago, but no response back. Will have to stick with Sothink if they can't get back to me before the expiration.

A couple of things impressed me about this software, and neither are directly connected to the software itself:
1. How involved Susan & others of the Likne team are. It shows they care about their products.
2. After 79 comments not one suggested an alternative free program.

#78 deepend -- You must not know much about programming. The "quality" of the setup package has nothing to do with the quality of the code in their application. And your comment about writing to the windows folder... well, that makes no sense unless you can add some context. It does not install the program in the Windows folder. It installs it where Windows typically wants it. The Program Files folder.

The setup package is simply a tool that allows the automated inclusion and registering of all the files the application requires. This can be surprisingly challenging and difficult to manage and really has nothing to do with the application code, in most cases.

It would be more accurate to state that requiring installation on the C drive is an indication of a bad quality setup package.

You should understand what you are saying before making disparaging comments.

Installed and activated on Vista HP without a problem. The registration is not as arduous as some other posters are making it out to be - just follow the instructions and installation is quite simple.

I like the fact that Suzan of the company has been present on this board to answer questions and help correct problems. Now THAT is good customer service!

On the page of the activation code, the following information is provided (which I thought was quite useful):

NOTES:

The above Activation Code can activate only the unique Installation with ID XX.

Total activations allowed for License XX are 4. You have 3 activations remaining for this license.

No extra re-activation will be needed when you update your installation to any version released before the Update Plan of this license expires (Oct 22, 2010).

Renewing/Extending your Update Plan will reset your number of remaining activations.

If you use up your total number of allowed activations for this license, please contact us at sales@likno.com with subject "Regarding activations of License XX" so that one of our agents assists you accordingly.

If you re-activate due to major changes in our activation process, your number of remaining activations will not be affected.

This is Aris from Likno Software team.

Hello Tony,

please see my comment for @Jim and @deepend above.

It could be that the problem is associated with the GAOTD installer.

Please try to download and install our distribution from our website instead.

Thanks!

This is Aris from Likno Software team.

Hello both,

do you refer to the GAOTD installer? Because we do not have access to this one, it is done by GAOTD (their installer wraps ours, so we do not know if theirs has problems with "D" drive, etc.).

Can you please download our installer directly from our website here and install that one instead:
http://www.likno.com/download.html

The GAOTD restrictions (1 day registration) still apply, since the activation is done online anyway.

Let use know if it worked now. To contact us directly email us at support [AT] likno [DOT] com.

Thank you a lot, we will appreciate your contact!

This is Aris from Likno Software team.

Hello Deepend,

you said "On my screen, the icons are almost unreadable".

This is very strange and would really like you to contact us (if possible) at support AT likno DOT com, with a screenshot of what you see.

I need to say for other users that this is not typical, so don't be afraid that you will see such a problem on your PC.

Could it be that you are using a different DPI setting or something?

Please email us if possible, to see what causes this issue.

Thanks!
