Post-mortem (I forgot to post) but probably useful anyway.

This product sucks on XP. Here's why:
- All resources found are stored in the program folder. I don't want my C: drive fucked up by a stupid software. At least, these files should be in %USERPROFILE%.
- Does not find some resources. In one case, it did not found the basic program icons while reshacker did the job well.
- Cannot scan a single file.
- After scanning appears this OK button which function is unclear. Pressing it clears the window, LOL.
- Labels my C: drive as a "Diskette 5'O pouces". LOL^2
- If you're in trouble, go to the "trooble" web page. LOL^3

Somebody here lacks seriousness.

Didn't notice the max file size filter until someone noted it above.
Probably why the ones I was looking for did not show up.
therube, thanks for the Mozilla Video Cache link, worked great.
Funny how many times a free release here will cause me to try and like a completely different product.

Simple download, installation and registration. Ran a test search of C:/ drive and was amazed at all the files it found within a few seconds - mostly ICOs and BMPs. Should be a lot of fun with games.

LoadTreeView is still not fixed! I downloaded it again a short time ago, this is after uninstalling the previous 5.2 version, attempting to install the new 6.0 version that I downloaded yesterday - and gave me the loadtreeview dialog box which i could not get rid of except to terminate the task. Uninstalled crap version, Now the latest version installed again - still does not work, same problem??? Running XPSP3, the old 5.2 version was ok and I deleted it!

Downloaded smoothly, registration fields filled automatically, no website to visit and I successfully installed it on Win 7 Pro 64 bit with no issues. Good job!
Haven't had the chance to put it through its paces yet, but wanted to let folks know that it does indeed install and run on Win 7 64bit.

It does not function, although it installed and activated.
It cannot find anything at all. ZERO.

Tested another software Icon-Extractor against it.
Icon-Extractor found an icon instantly in the target folder.

Will try the NEW file to be downloaded mentioned in #43.
If it fails again, then can forget it and uninstall.

From the help document:

View Saved Files:
Program saves extracted files in a sub-directory with format name (\ICO or \BMP e.t.c[?]) in program directory.

The extracted Filename constitutes from a number and the filename from the file that contains it.

To view files that you have already extracted click 'Saved Files' button [there is no "saved Files' button!] and select a category from left panel.

Double click on a file to view it with internal image viewer.

You can delete all extracted files, a single file or a category by right click menu to the right panel.

... so, look here:

C:\Program Files\AllMedia Grabber\

... and under that, I now have these directories:

ANI
ASF
AVI
BIK
BMP
CUR
EMF
FLC
GIF
ICO
icons
IFF
images
JPG
Language
MID
MP3
OGG
PCX
PNG
PPM
SWF
TGA
TIF
Uninstall
WAV
WMF
XM

For 200,000+ new media file bits extraction, totaling 1 GB of new "stuff".

Splendid.

Now to browse ...

Nice that the AllMediaGrabber program reads it's own saved files (above) on it's next opening so you don't have to load up another browser to re-view your new stash of extracted bits.

Question, what does the [ OK ] button do?
