i concure as to the usefullness of Revo…

but for the paranoid, or just really fussy… if you want to completely remove any programs what you need is an ‘installer/uninstaller’…

btw… for those saying there are remnants left after uninstalling… are you bothering to reboot before checking for leftovers?
as for the leftover contect menu… it would likely make sense to go into AllMedia’s settings and uncheck the shell integration Before you uninstall…

Installed went to run and i get “AllMedia Grabber needs a screen resolution 1024×768. AllMedia Grabber will exit now. Change resolution and run program again”
My screen was set correct and i still get the same message.
NOW the time is up and I still Havent tried the software thats is installed on my XP.

Working well, tried it on GGAOTD games folder…extracted swfs just fine! the screen resolution requirement is a bit of a nuisance, especially as it requires a restart to take effect.

The interface and help files are clear, and as an inveterate image saver I can see having some fun with this app! I’ve often done image searches to grab sigs & tags from IncrediMail attachments, and this opens many formats I haven’t been able to extract before.

#30 and 51 make good points: just because you find media on your hard drive does not mean it’s OK to reuse it. Also, since windows search will find such files for me already, why do I need to add another program to do the same thing?

I gave up after finding minimal info in their help section or any more detailed instructions toward this software’s use. Two attempts to create icon files went for naught and I already have software that performs other tasks such as extracting, grouping, etc. better or easier. Thumbs down on this.

also, for those who uninstall programs and then still find traces… are you bothering to reboot after having uninstalled? or just uninstalling then goin’ ‘oh look there be pieces left’ ?

I downloaded, ran the software; works perfectly fine… So I’m going to give it a thumbs up! :) …. I’ve had no issues with windows so far with this software (I’m using WinXP). Haven’t tried uninstalling yet, hopefully nothing happens!

I have tried this program on XP Pro and doesn’t look good.
I tried a PDF that contain many photos and didn’t find any.

And if the directory contain non-English character on my system which has the Regional and Language option set to English for Language for non-Unicode programs, it crash the program.

Seems like this program doesn’t support Unicode and will crash for any non-English character in the file name.

And as other people mentioned, you can’t control where you save the files.

This is just a poorly written program.

Many Thanks! The GUI is klunky, the graphics leave a lot to be desired, it has very little style or grace, BUT this little gem lifted the graphics out of an old late eighties DOS based game I’ve been packing around on a 3.5 floppy for 15 years – something all of my high powered [high priced] graphics editors failed to do.
