Hey, I like the speed! Having recently installed a GTX460 I'm sort of on the hunt for Cuda encoding, in spite of the fact many encoder authors say the benefits aren't worth the work. Aiseesoft seem to have nailed something because the performance completely blows away handbrake at similar qualities, without pushing my old AM2 4-core over 30% utilization.

Once I figure out how to tame the encoding parameter maze a little better this thing goes on my buy list.

I haven't even tried the Disc reading yet. Habit has me stuck on *Fab but promise I'll give this program's ripping a try asap.

Thanks Aiseesoft, and thanks GAOTD!

Ripping made simple go to DVDFab.com.
Alice DVD n Avatar easy as pie, n they have a free ripper.
I rip everything with it n burn back-ups to watch n keep originals safe, great for children who scratch them every time.
Does Blue-rays too.

No I don't work for them n no I don't get paid to advertise, just trying to help.

It can shrink while it rips n the beta versions n paid/trial version can do the whole copy procedure.

I just use the ripper tho cause I prefer more control n use Nero Recode to burn them.

This software is just as good as the previous version which was 3.1.42. This version is 3.1.52.

To correctly upgrade without the errors noted above: uninstall with REVO uninstaller. Then install this version and the "Help"/"About" will show the correct new version number: 3.1.52.

The opening menu clearly shows that you can rip (by choice) a blu-ray disk or a "dvd." Therefore, for all those confused comments above, you can rip either, depending upon what dvd player you are using. Simple and clear. Either format, either player . . . it does it all.

Thanks GAOTD and Aiseesoft Studio for the upgrade from the last great offering!

I downloaded it to find that it can also covert HD videos and edit videos. It's so convenient. I had a video from my camera, but the player cannot support and I couldn't edit with WMM. That made me disappointed. Thank GOTAD for sharing this one. It helped me a lot. I converted it and shared the video on YouTube.

To avoid having the previous version come up after closing and re opening the program, you need to perform an uninstall with revo. It did not work with revo safe mode, but worked with the advanced mode. I hope it did not harm other files, I cant be sure, so use at your own risk, or try the moderate mode first.
Thanks to GOTD and Aiseesoft for this great software, and thanks to all for the help you provide through your comments
