It seems to me that this program doesn't offer anything that Outlook doesn't already have in some form already -- filtering, sorting, and printing. Considering it needs Outlook to run, what is the purpose of this?

A shame this app cannot do something like archive Thunderbird emails into a documents folder separate from Thunderbird itself...I've been looking for something that would let me do that. I can't stand Outlook and have been using Tbird for a long time now... and I'm sure I'm only one of many people who use something other than Outlook!

It should clearly say "Outlook add on" in the description (a big remiss of GAOTD team). Also in the description, a comment about not being for Outlook Express would have been sensible (especially because it is aimed at "non savvy people"). I have enjoyed (and obviously agree) with the many useable and intellegent comments. Currently I do not know any person or business that uses Outlook, they all use Outlook Express - even though quite a few also have MS Outlook installed on their machines :-) BUT I think specialist software is a good idea. There are people out there studying, "Pro Ams" and more, who might benefit from specialist software, so they deserve a chance, just like the rest of us do. Remember, think about others and not just your self.

I don't usually print emails but attachments. This software does not handle sorting and prioritising of attachment printing. For forensics, the chronological order of both emails and their attachments should be relevant.

It, can reverse the emails in Outlook so that one can print them with the earliest email on the first page. This is such an obvious feature that many, many businesses (think large law firms) would grab and so would I.

Even though this is free software - I feel cheated. This software is useless. There are many alternatives out there that help manage your email on many levels - there is a plugin for Thunderbird that does what this program does and much more. Thumbs down on this one.

IF you can relate to the need for a more flexible MS Outlook printing facility - don't be put off by the average user ratings! This is a wonderfully simple piece of software which can regularly save you a lot of time and bother. I'm sure there would be a lot more positive comments if all the office bods were not so busy working or facebooking. Or maybe they didn't have the admin privileges to install at work! THE GOOD: Trouble free installation. Very unobtrusive outlook add-in. Much nicer previewing facility for multiple emails. Great even just for reading an email trail without printing. You only need to select the latest email in a thread and it will automatically consolidate the others into a single preview or print. Can use outlook column sorting to help select emails knowing that the add-in conveniently restores the sequence for printing/previewing. Allows you to choose page numbers for printing whereas Outlook email printing does not. Very useful when for example you only want to print page 1 of a 6 page flight confirmation. Removing extra blank lines a real boon, as is removing page breaks. Quick landscape/portrait selection. These benefits apply also to paperless printing with a pdf distiller. THE BAD: Sometimes 'PrintMail' option does not appear upon right-clicking.If you have been fwded several outlook mails as attachments, these can be all selected but when you click PrintMail it only grabs one of them. THE WISH: A killer feature would be a checkbox to quickly remove duplicate passages for printing i.e. the compounded original messages in replies.
