Been taking a look at the program since installing it on this machine, entered profiles for myself and my three nieces.
For myself I looked at the forecast as it would have been over the last three weeks (which I could still remember in enough detail to use for my test), and except for one day, it was spot on.
For my oldest niece, it was exactly spot on over the last week, and accurate enough with a small enough margin for the two weeks prior to that...
My middle niece was a bit harder to do the test with as she didn't really understand my line of questioning, but on the upside, the program did say that her intellectual curve was way down.
For my youngest niece I copied the forecast for the next six weeks, which will be the real test.

Program works like a charm, too... easy to use, easy to read the results.

To those who don't believe in biorhythms just try it an test it, and then say if it works or not. But I am sure it works for me!

WTF this is not a nature healing site or is it. This is way out to publish on this great site. Hope this is the 1st and last time I see this kind of bull****. Please be better to censure the software, cause ppl here love the site, and this is not a "huraaa" software.

#131 - say what? This program has nothing whatsoever to do with Christian or pagan beliefs. It is based upon the various Circadian body rhythms we all have. Whether or not these are as influential as some people believe they are is questionable, but it has nothing to do with religion. I think you need to start paying attention and reading the information on things before posting a comment at all.

#133 - Pity and laugh at them, I said way back when I posted my first comment that anyone who gets upset at this entertaining bit of software that they REALLY need to lighten up. I would say at a rough guess maybe 75% of the "comments" today show how true my statement actually was. I think my estimate is probably conservative.

If the sine waves could be added to this, that would be a neat addon, but I find the numeric values a different way of looking at them. I don't take this seriously and as my other post showed, I reviewed most of the features of this program already.

Thanks GAotD and ElPrime!

Biorhythms appeared in the Seventies, and I thought dissapeared in the Eighties. Looks like a way of capturing personal data. How many other proggies ask for birth info?

Thanks for this neat program! I will enjoy using it. However, I do agree with #152 about missing the curves of the cycles and how they cross.

i never go to the games site, just to this one. i don't do games or enjoy them, so if this is considered a game, i'm glad it was also placed here. i consider it a tool, certainly not a game for those who use biorhythms.

wow, interesting, i didn't realize

that this includes 'intuition'.

i'm just used to the three cycles

of emotional, physical, and

intellectual.

also, i appreciate the colors that

are given: blue for emotional, red

for physical, this is helpful when

reading the bar graphs in the

calendar.

i am thrilled that you've offered a program such as this. i love using biorhythmns, and check mine every couple days on a website. these are the positives i like about this program: very easy to use, no learning curve required, that's great. this is the easiest program to understand that i've downloaded from here! can look up any day, past or future. can check out good or bad days from the past or into the future, and yet it keeps today's day marked so one remembers where one is.

i find the description of the day interesting although i myself may not necessarily use that part. however i think it is great that it is here just so i can check that.

negatives:

i wish i could 'blow up' the size a little bit, it is a tiny bit too small.

i am used to seeing the 'curves' or 'sine waves' of the cycles, and how they cross and interact, and i miss that.

i wish that that were an included option. the 'bar graph' is interesting, and a great option, but i miss the curves. if the program were a little larger the bar curves on the right of the program could be seen better and would be more helpful.

THANK YOU!!

To Register:
At some point you get a window that opens titled "Registration". At the bottom of that window click "Enter registration code...". It opens a window where you enter the Registration Name and Registration Key that somewhere has already opened (probably automatically after you finished running the Setup) with the Registration Name and Registration Key.

If you want to take a look at another Biorhythms program to compare with today's offering, check out Biorhythms Plus! 2008 at http://www.diplodock.com/Products/BiorhythmsPlus/default.aspx. Look for the FREE edition.

Has your sine curve graphs, profiles of many celebrities, recommended activities based on cycles, and lots more info/suggestions/tables/charts/reports/journals, etc. More stuff if you pay for the Standard edition and EVEN MORE if you buy the Premium edition.

Really quite a remarkable piece of software. Very slick. The free version will keep you occupied for hours with all the little doo-dads, and they all tell you something criticially important about you!

Or Alec Baldwin. Your choice.

To register, click on "About" at the top, then click on "Registration" on the right side.

The funny thing about the comments is that the thumbs up/thumbs down ratio never fits with the ratio in the comments. (One can probably guess my biorhythms right now ;-) )

This software seems great, but how does it work? If it was connected to your brain via some space-age cable, I'd trust it, but this is just for fun.

That's probably why GAOTD would think of this as a game for Sunday ;)

There will always be those who believe in astrology, biorhythms and those who think they're junk. What bothers me are the disparaging remarks from those who don't believe in them. There are many things science doesn't understand yet and just because they can't be proven scientifically doesn't preclude their veracity. If you don't think biorhythms work, don't download the program. No one's forcing it on you and, lest we forget, everything from GOTD is FREE. Or, if you're skeptical, install the program and check the readings after you've had a good or bad day and see if there are correlations.

This is the first time I've downloaded anything from Giveaway of the Day. Most things are too technical for me. I have missed a few things I would have liked but didn't download in time. I decided on this one because I had a biorhythm chart made for me years ago and it was fun. This is purely for entertainment purposes but it is an interesting little program. I like it because it was a small program and is very easy to use. I downloaded it and registered without any trouble whatsoever. I put in my family members names and have had fun with it already. Everything went smoothly. No problems at all. This is a fun program if you are into astrology or horoscopes. Whether you believe it or not it's up to you, but it's fun to read.

Installation went well, but after entering registration info and then changing dates, I got the 30 trial message and register button again. After entering reg info several times, I tried closing the program right after entering info again. Then I reopened the program and clicked on several different dates. It is now FINE.

Anyone having the same problem, try closing and reopening program to get rid of the reg button.

Interesting but not always accurate -- will keep though for amusement!

Thanks GAOTD for another interesting product offer!

This is easy to install and a very neat and well thought out programs.
As far as any of these types of programs go, they are only useful to those who choose to be look at some possibilities in their life ebb and flow that they may not even thought of looking at before...i.e. thinking about what your emotional, physical, intellectual, or intuitive might have been on any given day. For some, even thinking about these qualities they possess is a stretch and these type of programs can take you to new places of awareness about yourself and your relationships.

I don't know whether to pity or laugh at the people who are getting so upset over what is obviously a harmless toy. I suppose Elprime could have posted a warning not to take this too seriously, but who knew there were so many silly people running around? For goodness sake, have a little fun! Hempman, Biggest Baddest Wolf, Fubar, and FranckW are not only borderline retards, but wake up naked in the same bed every morning, limbs entangled and stuck together with dried sweat and spew from the previous night's gay, drunken romp. Lighten up, people! At least this software is a change of pace. Just because it's not your cup of tea doesn't mean you should sulk like little children and try to ruin the enjoyment of others.

Thank you GOTD Team!! Even understaffed, you're doing a fine job!!

#120 The little window with the registration information opens up behind other windows you might have open (like the installation window). So it is easy to miss.

You can minimize the open windows, or use the "alt" + "tab" button to cycle through all the open windows, or look at the bar at the bottom of your screen which tells you the name of each window you have open. You bring the one you want to use to the front by pressing its name on the bar.

You paste the values from the little registration info window into the registration window of Advanced Biorhythms. You get the registration window by starting the program. Click "About". Then click something like "enter registration code".

Whenever you download a GOTD program that requires registration information you can usually find a little window hidden somewhere behind your installation window. Just select the info you need with the cursor then hit "ctrl" + "c" to save the info to a hidden clipboard...navigate to the place you want to paste the info, click in the box, and hit "ctrl" + "v" (the + means you hold both keys down together). By pasting the information you can avoid mistakes in typing that may render your entry invalid. If this information is too simplistic, I'm sorry. No offense intended. Enough people have posted with registration problems that I thought this might help.

As far as the program goes, I looked at my daughter's biorhythm for a day she had an accident....The note said an accident was likely for her that day. Thinking this was cute, I checked a year further back for another day she had an accident. Sure enough, it said "This is an accident prone day." Seems to be fairly accurate at least as far as my daughter is concerned. I checked further and we're compatible 85% and 90% of the time. This is pretty much "right on" also. Groovy!

Program does Not appear to ask for any user data, except date of birth. I would think, after 38 years, maybe it's calculation has drifted off. Perhaps if it asked for some daily input, and calculated the cycles based on that data...

Are peoples’ “good” and “bad” days predictable by means of determining personal biological cycles, as claimed by the recent biorhythm faddists? A report in Archives of General Psychiatry says No. Researchers carefully examined information from over 200 highway accidents in which the drivers checked were at fault. Then they computed the drivers’ biorhythm cycles for the time of the accidents. Their findings: “No evidence for a relationship between purported biorhythm cycles and accident likelihood.”

? Do a person’s so-called “cycles” of physical, intellectual and emotional energy, or “biorhythms,” really affect his performance? Medical psychologist A. James Fix of the University of Nebraska medical school checked the records of 70 major-league baseball players to find out, comparing their “up” and “down” days. “The average batting average on up days was .206,” reports the New York Times. “On down days it was .250 [21 percent better], and on ‘triple zero days,’ when all three cycles are neutral, the average was .276 [34 percent better].”

Special thanks to #99 Hempman for his very enlightening info on biorhythms---and especially, the related "science" of phrenology. :)

I was going to download it myself until I used this Microsoft Excel biorhythm charter:

http://support.microsoft.com/kb/151439

I found that today was not a good day to download this as my Intellectual line was at a critical low and I might easily be deceived.

There are innumerable sites on the internet where you can do this without downloading anything (other than malware, probably!) Since the reviewers here have shown that this software is interesting only for about 3 minutes, I think I'll risk checking mine that way for the next 3 or 4 minutes.

Back when I was 12 years old and still believed in horoscopes, I really ate this subject up. But I don't think there is any scientific validity to either horoscopes or biorythms. Think about it for a moment. What "data" is used as a baseline for something like this? Where does it come from? I can only imagine every "soothsayer" out there is relying on the same old dusty old book written 400 years ago by someone who randomly plugged in numbers based on how the sun positions looked to them. (Lotta science there.)

Further, biorhythms are based on when you were born. So if your mother unexpectedly trips over a coffee table and goes into premature labor, then you would have a different biorhythm, because it changes your birth date and time. That means an entirely random event not attached to your genes or biology can change your life pattern? And your life is supposed to be determined by this?

I would rank biorhythms up there with dice and "the magic eight ball" toy. I suppose it's a cute notion to modernize snake oil and give it the appearance of validity by converting it to a software format. But in the end, it's still just snake oil.

Maybe that's not altogether bad if it gives someone who's discouraged something to look forward to, like a placebo effect.
