Suggestion - alternate or custom bit rates - e.g MP3 at 192Kbps rather than the fixed defaults of 128 or 256.
I personally do not like MP3 at 128K and find 256K tends to take up too much space, so I prefer 192Kbps, which means your converter is useless to me.
You also get a similar problems with some media players that only accept specific data rates (which are not available in the predefined ones that Absolute Audio Converter makes available).
Thus I am now going to uninstall it.

@ 16 DeeGeePee; I have to agree this does look strangely like Free Audio Converter. The free one has a lot of extras and you can configure the program as well. I think I will download the free one and thanks GeeDeePee for the info! As for the one here today, I see they have a long page of awards, but none are clickable to actually confirm that and there are a lot of strange awards I've never seen before.
Thanks GOTD for all your doing for us!!!

Ad.: #18 and all others.

The term of a file with "WAVE PCM" sound is a DIFFERENT term than a CD-Audio in PC's CD drive!!!
The CD-Audio is much more similar to a folder of WAVE files than to a folder of MP3 files, but they are a DIFFERENT things.

I have tested the CD-Audio extraction feature on my installation of the Absolute Audio Converter and my example CD-Audio.
After that I must tell, that THIS PROGRAM DOES N*O*T SUPPORT CD AUDIO EXTRACTING!!!

I have used a single session plain CD-Audio disc that I can play in my CD-Audio player without problem - it is not a mixed-mode program & audio disc. This disc is an originally manufactured disc, so I think that it is well recorded.

There are many CD-Audio rippers that can run with different ripping options and giving other output files in every cycle (!!!) - especially when the input CD is scratched.
BTW. Some years ago, to rip CD-Audio file into WAVE PCM you have to own a good CD drive or better the CD recorder. I remember setting the reading speed into 1x or 4x instead of 16x to get better audio quality. Many cheap CD drives have been generating audio extraction errors and have had a low maximum reading speed.
Summing up: Converting CD-Audio into PCM WAVE file is an another process and some time earlier it was something that was performed only by (near) warlocks. Today's program unfortunately is not changing it.

Downloaded and installed flawlessly on Windows 7 x64. Tested different types of conversions effortlessly. Intuitive straight forward interface that delivers the required result. Yes there are other software out there that offer more control, but for a quick clean conversion without much user input required, it's good. This is a keeper.

This is a nice piece of software, I like the interface and quick conversions. But I certainly wouldn't pay the $30 dollar price tag when there are better freeware alternatives such as Format Factory which will convert about any audio, video or image you can throw at it. Also there is SUPER, another awesome converter that converts practically anything, Between the two of them you could convert just about anything imaginable. Still i give this a thumbs up because it works well & GAOTD has it for free ;)

Totally Bogus - could Not support a plain CD format.
Sounds like another dummy demo, hoping some will but the program.
Even from the looks of it I could tell it was going to be a dog.

Don't waster your time.

I have checked the awards page that they have posted. I went to each award page and NOT one of them shows an award for this program.
I use other software that is far better than this one, so it is totally useless to me.
