but everything I have tried fails==every web service advertising to do this only brings me to registry cleaners. PLEASE HELP AND ADVISE HOW TO DO YOUR REQUIREMENTS FOR WINDOWS 7. THANK YOU SO MUCH!!

I have an extensive collection of DVDs and Blu-Rays (over 4000) I tried several by bar code: Warehouse 13 Season 3, Doctor Who Series 3, Musicals (4 musicals released earlier this week), The Godfather, Frozen Planet, Wizard of Oz, Gone With the Wind, Apocalypse Now, Birdman. Only Apocalypse Now was found. I tried looking up YouTube Videos with more success although the Monty Python skit, Sviatslav Richter and Rita (in which the world famous pianist plays Tchaikovsky's Piano Concerto #1 while escaping from a straight jacket, handcuffs and a sack) [if you haven't seen it, it's worth the time]. Anyhow, that did not show up under Monty Python but did finally show up under Richter. When entering films and TV shows by name the results were better but still not up to standard. When you type in a title that it finds, it shows you the cover of the disk but for most movies there are several different versions and the images do not make clear which one you get.

Oh, I closed the program half way through my tests. When I opened it up the program said that the data was damaged and refused to open. So I deleted it and reinstalled it and finished my tests. And closed the program. Just for kicks I reopened it. But. I. Couldn't. Because. The. Data. Was. Damages.

At least DVD Profiler works and works very well (at least for US based users).

Uninstalled a second time. For. Keeps.

I am sorry - I did download & install in Win10 - seems to be fine - BUT; 1 - I don't have time to "start from scratch" re-inserting the 8-9000 movies I own & I use Coollector & there is tons more info on US & Can movies & they do offer a 'free' version - Thank you but no thanks today. This appeared to install normally on my XPx32 computer, but it would not run. Clicking the icon resulted only in the error message "Runtime error 217". This is only the 2nd time I have seen this error message, The first time was yesterday when I installed the GOTD Macrorit Disk Partition Wiper. It too appeared to install OK, but only produced the same error message when I tried to run it.

Installation and registration was easy on Windows 7.1 x64.

I added one movie, Spiderman 3, and after one minute of waiting I finally received minimal database movie information from there server. Norway is far from USA.

The "Trailer" button is for UK version of the movie but I own USA version of the movie, and it does not open my default web-browser but native Internet Explorer when watching the trailer.

Based on the minimal movie information and incorrect movie trailer, this program was uninstalled, it's not for me.

However, if you like YouTube movies, a database feature I did not test, maybe "My Film Kiosk 2.5" fulfills your need.

This GOTD includes minor updates but no upgrade from within the software. That is excellent since YouTube changes there API from time to time.

Instead, I will keep using my favorite freeware program Eric's Movie Database (EMDB) which provides more movie information and correct regional trailer provided directly from IMDB information. It took a few seconds to get database info and no registration is required.

Finally figured out how to register.
Tested.
Result: Very Good.
Neutral: The On loan, Not on Loan, Uploaded Films, Not yet Uploaded Films are not applicable to me. Others may find a use for them.

Likes: The user interface of Seen and Not Seen.
Click on New and then click on YouTube radio button.
If you have the URL of an Internet video, you can copy and paste in the specific URL.
Click on [Search]
It will them home in on that one YouTube Video. Click on [Add to MFK] to include this in your database. [Note: It does NOT download the video.]
Once in your database, you can click on the YouTube button to view it online.

Or else you can type in a general description e.g. Bangkok street food
Click on [Search]
It will provide a list of all the YouTube videos that fit that description.
You can select accordingly what you like.

In this way you can build up a big list of the preferred YouTube videos you want to watch or have seen online. And categorise them.

The database is designed to be visual in nature. A thumbnail of the video is added.

For movies you can do a search e.g. Goldfinger and the software will download the details of that movie and some details.

Negatives + Dislikes:
I think this cannot "search" the movies that you already have in your own hard disk. So you have to input the data manually.

[Big Shock] --- This software cannot find the movie title The Sound of Music. Go ahead, try it yourself. What you get is a "No data to display".

This GAOTD arrived just in time for me.
I have a lot of movies on my NAS and now I can retrieve information about each movie in a program on my computer.

Installed and registrated without problems on a Win 8.1.3 Pro 64 bit system.

The "most appreciated feature" of this program:
"Lottery: And when you cannot make up your mind as for which of your movies to watch, just play a Film Lottery and the system will randomly pick up a movie from your library. This is probably the feature our users appreciate the most.". hmmmm....

After start of a crowded window you have to register and login on their server. You can change some skin, the language from English to Catalan or Norwege. You can enter your film data manually, contact their servers for further information, label, covers.

This works in a short test as it claims. Remember that a you allow an unknown company to grasp all information of your videos. The included borrow system can be useful, if you lend real dvd's to family and friends.

Uninstalled via reboot. Don't need this one.
