I am always leery of utilities like this, as I believe most are.

I was impressed that it identified lots of cache folders that are usually ignored, for instance iTunes. I also allowed it to delete browser cookies (and some were left over from trying out Chrome and Safari). I don't tend to do this, because so many times it screws up login info and sometimes that can be frustrating. (Yes I know I should be more organized and used a password manager).

But heck, I allowed it to do its thing and so far everything looks good. I don't know about making my system faster. They are fast enough anyway for what I do.

So this looks very good to me. Time will tell as one can never really tell how good something like this is until you have used it for awhile.

In all, 2 thumbs up for me because it seems to not be over-aggressive and is quite wide-ranging in its combined utilities.

Hmmmm.............anyone notice how the U.I. looks an awful lot like the Advanced SystemCare U.I.??? Like, a whole lot just like it. Odd. $40.00 is too much for this type of software, they might be able to justify $19.99. I also looked at the so called awards they have received via their website. The only one that comes from a site I care about is SoftPedia, the rest are from sites I've never heard of or don't care about. The "award" from SoftPedia, as Synei calls it, isn't an award, it's just a badge or guarantee that the software is free of spyware and malware. Apparently Synei looks to add any badge they can and call it an award. I don't trust this publisher or this type of software. Just my two cents worth.

So, I down loaded and installed with no problem. I ran it through 1 click it found a bunch of issues and repaired them.

Then I ran Glary Utilities Pro and it found a bunch of issues and repaired them.

Then I ran Advanced System Care Pro and it found a bunch of issues and repaired them....

Hopefully my computer is dang well repaired by now...

The program downloaded and seems to be working as the free edition, but it wants a license key number to active the full version.
I did not see a license key anywhere to do this.
Looks like other people are not having any problem with this, so it could just be me doing something wrong. I don't know ?

Although the software seems to work well. It needs to have a "Pause" or "Cancel" during the operation.

@4 Marek Czerski

I can sympathize with the problems you met with CCleaner.
But in today's post I can't find where Giovanni praised CCleaner. On the contrary, the wording "far better than CCleaner in my view" means to me that Giovanni thinks CCleaner is far from ideal. This I would not call "praise".
Just saying.

Personally, I prefer Glary Utilities Pro, there are many reasons for this:

1. Glary Utilities comes with a infinite license
2. If you know where to look, you can find Glary Utilities Pro license for free (don't ask, and it ISN'T illegal)
3. Glary Utilities isn't really better than Synei, but it seems to work really well on my Windows 8 :D

I'm using Windows 8.1 with Kaspersky. I keep getting a message that the files a corrupted and to get new files. I've done this a million times still no luck. It activates, but never installs. I did place a question in the forum but with no help. Anyone have any ideas? Thanks all.

#5 "I only use free Microsoft Security Essentials, Spybot and CCleaner"
Jon, for your own peace of mind, I suggest you forget about MS Security Essentials. While it is, in fact, free, it is also at the lowest end of effective and free AV/AM programs out there. I would suggest you remove it and at least try Panda Cloud AntiVirus Free.

#5: "Always wondering why people would use this kind of one click sotfware, trusting it without knowing what it really does, in the hope of having a computer a few seconds faster."

I think, Jon, it's because there are however many PCs & laptops that you would consider in pretty bad shape [compared to your own] -- maybe sort of like the kitchen after a mom's gone away for a week or two :) -- and they may get more benefit out of it than a hoped for few seconds speed boost.

In those cases it may be tempting or easy to blame the owner, and while sometimes that blame may be well placed, sometimes software can make a mess of things & sometimes systems get compromised because a trusted site or company or person got compromised 1st, so I don't want to blame anyone or assume they're just sloppy.

As far as systems that have been compromised, it's safe to say that there are millions who've been infected, & once that happens security software may be disabled, additional malware may be installed, and who knows what changes are made to Windows or what files stored on the hard drive -- even when security software is updated, recogizes & removes malware, it can't know about every possible added file or every change to Windows that has been made. When MS took down the Zero Access botnet late last year it was said to have infected 2 mill PCs/laptops. According to Kaspersky: "At the moment we're counting about 1000 unique bots on average per month" And those are just botnets, which may be easier to track because they all contact their masters for instructions.

At any rate, I think you raised a valid point Jon, one that's often echoed when software like Synei System utilities is offered. And the short answer is because often enough it provides enough of a benefit that people don't worry about those who don't see big improvements. IOW if it didn't help you, Oh Well, maybe it'll help me as much as it did this other guy or gal.

It was for me the first time ever that I installed a program like this. And whilst the graphical interface is free of clutter and such, I would have liked that the program is telling me a little more what exactly each single click has under the hood. My overall experience with the program remained a gazing at the beautiful buttons and the simplicity in its design without touching anything just yet.

At the moment I can't really complain about my computer setup but I will keep today's free offer for the time being in case a feasable reason arises having to use this program.

In the meantime Thanks to Giveaway of the day and Synei.

Even though I already run System Mechanic Pro and WiseCare 365 Pro on a regular basis, I decided to try Synei System Utilities anyway. Download, installation and activation went smoothly. When I ran Synei, it said that my system is in good shape and doesn't need any optimizations/alterations/changes. So that's good to know. Synei seems like a safe, solid optimizer because it essentially agreed with my two proven go-to optimizers. Consequently,I'd recommend it. Thanks to GOTD and Synei for this offering.

@5-Jon, yeah, and I kinda like to wonder why people always take the auto-install vs custom and b1tch later they have 3 or 4 toolbards, popups, etc.. ;-). Too many people, like those who drive Hondas, don't like lifting the hood. Just gas up and drive.

As far as this program goes, anything is better it putting IObit. Might have mist it but any portable version.

Somebody should have warned you:
If you are running other system utilities (e.g. giveaways) like TuneUpUtilities or ProcessLasso together with Synei System Utilities boost modes and other parts may hinder each other just like running two antivrus monitoring softwares parellel.

By the way "Synei System utilities is an award-winning ..." from above description and on their homepage:
"Award Winning Software
You don’t have to believe anything we say. However, you would believe the Internet Media, right? Head over to our awards section and see how many awards we have already won for creating a software that just works."

Therefore I looked at http://www.synei.com/company/awards

- Softpedia: "No Spyware, no Adware, no Viruses". Utmost impressive and congratulations from me.

- PC Advisor: "Synei Disk Cleaner ... And it seems to be very effective, too, with the program even outdoing CCleaner on our test PC (Disk Cleaner: 3.6GB to free up, CCleaner: 2.9GB)."
You remember the following warning in my comment #4: ''I’m waiting for the usual: “Synei System Utilities found 1000 entries to correct, software xyz only 500, therefore Synei is much better”...''

- SoS: "Synei System Utilities is a new, portable all-in-one system maintence program"
maintence (!!) from Hawaii?? Or just worked too much?

Is portable variant enclosed in this 1 year subscription? Does 1 year mean it will stop working after 1 year, downgrade to free version or just no more updates?

Thank you, Ashraf, especially for your most helpful full review!

#11 I have found that it is important to give running programmes sufficient time to shut down before I run CCleaner. In particular,
browsers such as Mozilla Firefox can be slow to shut down. CCleaner can then have a field day cleaning up what Firefox is still endeavouring to save for a rainy day.

Windows 7 - 64 Installed quick & easy.
It took me 16 minutes to download, install, scroll through settings and adjust settings for my machine and my liking and then do a scan and system clean up.

I use CCleaner along with AVG Tuneup on a daily basis and feel safe & secure in the performance of these two programs. Have never had a problem with either one doing any harm to my system.

Guys, most of that 16 minutes was spent going through Synei settings. That is always my first task with these types of programs. I like what I see with Synei. Lots of available functions with loads of settings to tweak as you like. Turn on or off such as "Disk Degrag" as I use an SSD, off at start-up etc, (hate that start with Windows).

I then did a 1-click scan (analyze only) to see what Synei came up with for recommendations to my system. Recommendations seemed reasonable so I then ran a 1-click maintenance Analyze and Optimise.

Wow. It took a mere few seconds to scan and then optimize my system.
Then had to restart system to complete the optimization.

No Problems at all. Everything started just as it should. I use Rollback Rx 10.2 to take a backup snapshot of my complete system so had no fear if Synei went haywire and my system was damaged in any way.

Happy to report Synei System Utilities did exactly as stated by the developers. Ran a complete 1 Click Maintenance and optimized my system with no problems. This one is a keeper Guys.

I plan to explore Synei System Utilities further but can say I am pleasantly pleased so far.

Thank You GAOTD and Synei Systems.

@4 Marek Czerski

Perhaps you should have left your external drive connected while running CCleaner. If CCleaner can't find your correspoding files it considers your links to be orphanized. I always look at suggested corrections before allowing them, untagging some of them if I'm not sure or know better. You always should control machines and not let them control you.

Or perhaps your CCCleaner (3x"C") is something else than CCleaner (2x"C")? Have a virus scan by life CD!

#4 to Giovanni: While appreciating your other pieces of advice on this portal, I can hardly agree with your uncritical praise of CCCleaner. I had a very, very bad experience with it, when CCCleaner did not recognise my specific settings (I keep setting files, documents, mails and other proprietary files of mine on an external disc to avoid loss in case the system disc crashes) and simply ruined all my configuration. CCCleaner also considered bad/useless, whatsoever and removed a lot of registry entries with software settings. CCCleaner, so commonly praised, seems to be good for computers without individual settings. Otherwise it may be really disastrous.

WARNING - CRITICAL ERROR - WARNING - CRITICAL ERROR - WARNING

When turning the Turbo mode on, you need to configure it.

When reading the description about the services, you might as me misunderstand the words about disabling as much services as possible:

quote: Please SELECT the services that you would like to TEMPORARILY SUSPENDED.

I believed, that I should REMOVE the default SELECTions about e.g. the NETLOGON service, otherwise it would temporarily be suspended.

Because that's what the description tells you: SELECT if you want it SUSPENDED.

The result was, that when I un-selected all the services, that I didn't want to be suspended, among others the NETLOGON service, Synei changed about 50 of my services to DE-AKTIVATED.

I was lucky, that I had another identical computer, so I could see, what to do MANUALLY (and in Synei) about my services, before I lost the power, or it was rebooted, because I'm sure, that it would never be able to reboot with all those 50 disabled services.

PLEASE DESCRIBE THAT IMMIDIATELY :-( :-( :-(

Works very well in my machine running W7 Ultimate.

It sports a great startup manager, which can even automatically disable all those damn useless startup programs not needed to start at boot. Can also optimize Services running in background in order to speedup your system dramatically (very handy feature especially for PC Gamers).

So why 69% THUMBS DOWN? Are you joking guys?

Always wondering why people would use this kind of one click sotfware, trusting it without knowing what it really does, in the hope of having a computer a few seconds faster. Most of the time it will mess up their system, sometimes beyond repair. I only use free Microsoft Security Essentials, Spybot and CCleaner and i am good. Just my opinion.

They tell above "... repair your system to make your PC run like brand new."

That's impossible because even every Windows Update may slow down your system. Every additional installed software does the same, adding autostarts, processes, services etc. Take a screen photo of windows task manager before and after install or better print hardcopies and compare. Do the same for all autostarts with Autoruns.exe's screens (from Microsoft/Systeminternals). That's why I prefer portable apps if possible - no autostarts and they normally don't alter registry etc.

I'm waiting for the usual: "Synei System Utilities found 1000 entries to correct, software xyz only 500, therefore Synei is much better". I'm a fan of cautious correction because I love a stable system. The more corrections the more risk.

So far I and others got no problems with free CCleaner (portable if you like), enhanced by CCenhancer to remove temp files etc from 1000 additional programs.

http://www.piriform.com/ccleaner
http://singularlabs.com/software/ccenhancer/

(Software from Piriform:
CCleaner 4.10.4570 Release date: 23 Jan 2014
= Optimization and Cleaning,
Recuva 1.50.1036 Release date: 20 Jan 2014
= File Recovery,
Defraggler 2.17.898 Release date: 06 Feb 2014
= Disk Defragmentation,
Speccy 1.25.674 Release date: 29 Jan 2014
= System Information.
As far as I know all are free for private use.
Many thanks to Piriform!)

Best advice before tampering with your system: an actual backup at least of your system partition with an imager, several of them GOTDs in the past.

If you got a fast modern system with lots of memory I think any trials of accelerating are in vain. Just remove temp files (e.g. using CCleaner!) to make resulting backup images smaller and the procedure thus faster.

Installed and registered on a Win 8.1 Pro 64 bit system without problems. Comes with a two years (Dec. 2015) "premiere licence" preinstalled.

That's good, as it should always be! A company with an address, a name and a history. And a company goal!

Synei is a new privately owned software company founded in March 27, 2013 by Ref Chowdhury. We are located in Hawaii but we are looking to expand our company internationally.

One of the many "we'll make your system faster than ever" programs. In this case not "faster than ever", but like a "brand new computer"...

This program will clean, speed up, maintain, secure, and repair your system to make your PC run like brand new

I am afraid of the "brand new", because I would like to keep all the installed programs. Let's test.

It first demand a system restore point. This is always a good advice (if you are not running a virtual system)

The PC cleaner makes a good impression. You can choose where to search and it gives a good overview of the found files. And it does not delete automatically, you have to run the cleaner again. When running the PC cleaner again, the subtask wants to access the internet. Why that???

Started the "startup booster", wants to contact the internet again. I denied... A normal startup manager, with a good interface. The choice of "not needed" and "should disable" doesn't seem to have influence on the displayed startup items. But looks okay and doesn't anything "automatically". IMHO Better than many other startup mangers.

One of the better "we tune everything" programs. And the first I have encountered, that gives in the first system analysis the answer:

PC condition : excellent 100%

All other claimed up to now, that my pc must be tuned because of...

The program makes an excellent impression. Nothing really new, but programmed with the demands of the unexperienced user in mind.

After the test, I am happy not to have a brand new computer. All my installed programs have been left untouched.

A good choice for those, who believe in magically making a computer better and faster and brand new and who buys from time to time snake oil. A good impression overall!
