"Component ‘UniBox10.ocx’ or one of its dependencies not correctly registered: a file is missing or invalid”"

Hello Graham,

It is likely that there was a problem with the installation. There are many reasons this could happen, such as not having enough access rights or having other applications running during the installation.

However, there is a solution to this issue here:

"Positioning element “#liknoaccordion_positionID” is not found in page”"

Hello Ootje,

This is Suzan from Likno Software team.

We checked your page, and the problem is exactly as the error states. It seems that when you moved the code around you deleted the positioning code (or did not put in there in the first place?).

Please try adding the following line where you want the accordion to appear:

<div id="liknoaccordion_positionID">&nbsp;</div>

"I activated, your website says I have the free GOTD program for $85, yet I cannot d/l the extra designs."

Hello Sm,

This is Suzan from Likno Software team.

There must be a misunderstanding somewhere, for example we realized that a user were installing the Example Packs Installer but then she did not close/reopen the application so that she can see the new Example Packs added to the list (we added a note on the download page afterwards).

In order to assist you, can you please email us at support [AT] likno [DOT] com (with screenshots if possible), so that we give the proper instructions?

Suzan, over and over on these pages, I'm afraid, I have to point out that we are all not administrators.
You (helpfully) say during installation that admin rights are needed to enter the activation code - but to get that we need a machine codes to send to you, to register with you. But to send that long code to you we have temporarily invoked admin rights and when we copy that code using your button that code is buffered ->in the admin desktop<. It is not available to the standard user from which admin has been invoked.
Thanks.

I did not like the idea of this at first, but after giving it a whirl, I believe that Linko Web Accordion Builder is one of the best applications ever offered here. The registration process turned out to be quite easy, didn't even have to check my inbox. The activation code was issued directly from Linko's site. Nice!

The samples I've created so far are beyond impressive - not because of my efforts - but because of the smashing templates in this great package.

Thanks Linko!
Cheers.

What EXCELLENT job Likno Software has done!

They explained what their software does and who can benefit from using it. They offered their latest and greatest version without crippling it. They gave good descriptions on how to activate it properly. (Because of the "limiting" giveawayoftheday "wrapper" to keep you from reinstalling it elsewhere, there are activation problems with many of the programs). Products from companies like Paragon who participate frequently, have developed special builds to get around the problems. Here we get less than a full PERMANENT license everyone buys from the vendor's website. Even their free trial versions don't have the install problems created here. Likno spent the day monitoring questions and problems and answered them. They said they'd resolve any other problem tomorrow! What more could you want?

A smashing job all the way around. I can't comment on the product's functionality as I'm not designing web pages and didn't install it. ;(

There is good dialog here between the vendor and users.

The thumbs up thumbs down ratio is about equal, unlike the crazy imbalances that appear to be negative voting from competitors or fake thumbs up from the companies.

I don't get why so many thumbs down - except that most people don't have a need for this and it's their only way to complain.

This is how giveaways should be conducted. PROFESSIONALLY and elegantly. The efficacy would be better if people could vote on the products PROPERLY. Rate the usefulness of the product for them, instead of bashing it by a thumbs down. With threaded comments and a way to stop fake thumbs up and thumbs down, the feedback would be much more useful and easier to give.

1) Giveawayoftheday gets consideration $$ by featuring products here. This is a business for them!
2) Software vendors get exposure, possible sales, referrals, and valuable feedback.
3) Feedback from the Uber users is extremely valuable. A vendor would spend a fortune to get it from a marketing research firm, IF they could.
4) We "users" who try the products - at the very least put our OS at risk (i.e. the flaky offerings). Everyone doesn't have a bulletproof machine, or a second machine we can have crashede, and not everyone can go through the steps that enable to reverting only the PORTION of the registry that for each giveaway so you can roll back only what caused you a problem a month or so later, after you've installed additional programs. ;(

Kudos to Likno. I am not affiliated with them.

Bluevoda has a proprietary website builder. You can only use it with their hosting. The big problem is you can't move your site afterwards to another provider as you can't take workable code with you.

Anyone who thinks they're GIVEN ACTUAL "Unlimited Domains" with a free software giveaway (misunderstanding that is the software use licensing - on unlimited domains) needs to read a lot more about website name registration, hosting and building. (sorry that question made me laugh). Where do I get a free computer to use with any free software I get here? .... Right....

When I opened the Likno Web Accordion Builder’s activation form the part to enter the code was below the bottom of the screen, even though I moved the task bar to the right side of the screen. I managed to run the curser down off the screen in the area where the code was to be entered, hit control V and enter and was successful. This is the second instance where my screen is not high enough to see the bottom of forms, even though I have the resolution at the highest setting. Is there any other solution, please?

And thanks for the program. I have used AOLPress for years and this looks way over my head, but I will give it a try.

I used to make accordion and other funny things with CSS ten years ago. Mainly because I always disabled javascript in my browsers and hated javascript ---stupid and ugly DHTML that almost never worked properly. To my dismay, I had to learn some mootools and jquery. I still hate javascript but I solved the problem by producing jquery code with php or python.

So I'm glad a RAD like Web Accordion Builder is here so it can help me save a lot of time. I haven't really tried the product, but in case the code produced needs too much reworking, I still have notepad++...

Thanks GOTD and Likno for this very nice tool. Hope we'll see more software of this kind (quality, commitment, usefulness, ...) in the future.

Thanks GOTD and Likno. Installed fine ( and I think it is activated for unlimited domains ) on Win XP Pro SP3. However, I myself did encounter that the installer at the end also was trying to re-install an already application I had which basically is an old VB5-VB6 application relying on old .ocx files. Overall, program seems cool and works here so far. Thumbs up from me.

Looks like a great program but unfortunately for me I receive the following message when I try to run the program on my PC (after installation) with Vista Ultimate 64 bit:

"Run-time error '339':

Tried re-installation but still the same error.

I have successfully installed the software and activated it according to instructions. Every time I try to run the Web Accordion Builder software, a program called pixo from Bendigo software tries to install. The application asks where the setup.msi file is located to install pixo. It takes several attempts to cancel this and get to the web builder software.

What the heck is Pixo and why does it try to install every time I try to run the web builder software?

#68 and possibly others: I almost forgot: NoScript is one of the most popular add-ons for Firefox due to its being responsible for making FF arguably the most secure browser, at least for Windows. The typical configuration is to enable Javascript in the browser itself and then let NoScript block it until and unless the user OKs it for that given site, although there are options (not recommended) to OK it globally. Actually, I'm oversimplifying it, since there are even finer adjustments that can be used, plus it blocks more than just Javascript. My point being that if your software uses Javascript, it not only may but certainly will encounter users who have Javascript blocked in one way or another, which should be anticipated and a solution provided.

i think if we get no support as stated in the gotd rules the companies should have a forum where the users can help each other. As we know there are free forum software like phbb or you can even use this software to build your own. This software does work and for the thumbs down learn how to use the software before you but thumbs down. there are some good free software like this but dont do half the things this software does SUZAN, LIKENO,GOTD thank you for giving use this software

I guess I was waiting for the reply to question #47 & #49 as the same is happening for me. I activated, your website says I have the free GOTD program for $85, yet I cannot d/l the extra designs. I keep getting a message that I have to login (yet your site is greeting me by name) and I don't have unlimited domains that I can tell. When I re-open the program it again tells me to activate. I've tried it twice. Thanks for any help.

I downloaded this with no problems. Activiation was simple, straight-forward, & I discovered that I already registered with this company for the "AllWebMenus" program by in 2010. This company is really generous in that it allows you to download and install the version for which you have a license. I had forgotten about this program because shortly after I had a crash & never got to play with it. Now I can download it and try it out!

This program is very nice, with a good interface, that makes the building of these menus extremely easy & user friendly. It can create a web page around the accordion, imbed the accordion via UL/LI code, or imbed it with CSS. You can customize the HTML/CSS tag names, the actions of the accordion, & content. The help files for this program seem very useful & I'm excited to be trying this software.

As for those who don't see the value because there are "free" alternatives, I have to disagree. I've used plenty of freebies over the years, and there are an awful lot of "experts" on the internet throwing out useless, corrupted, and just plain bad code. People who do this for a living and truly understand the code & can help out rarely troll all the various forums helping newbies/amateurs figure out what they did wrong - they are busy getting paid. As for coding from scratch, I really don't see the point in re-inventing the wheel. We don't propose to code from scratch various shapes used in computer graphics, we have programs that do it. Why should web developers waste their time re-coding the same basic things when they can pay someone to do it and do it well? As for price, if someone is creating web pages regularly (say 1/month), an $85 tag spread out over 12 web sites isn't much per site. Each person will have to make up their mind based on how much they will use this software. Time is money & when I think of the hours I wasted playing with bad code, I would have been way better off if I had paid a company like this for such a great program.

I haven't had a chance to play around with this software yet, but I'm very pleased to have a copy of it, and I must say that I'm highly impressed with Likno's approach - both with Susan's valiant efforts to support this giveaway, and with Likno's customer service in general. After registration I noticed that the GOTD license includes a free Update Plan which doesn't expire until February 8th. Although this is no doubt motivated by a cunning plan :) to get us all to keep checking their website for updates, it is a more generous offer than the average GOTD license. Thanks to GOTD and Likno for this interesting giveaway.

PS Just one other comment, about Giovanni's recommendation of the "free" BlueVoda Website Builder. Out of curiosity, I looked into it and discovered that BlueVoda enforce the use of their own highly priced web hosting if you wish to publish your design. So people, check out the user reviews of BlueVoda on CNet, and don't rush off and build a BlueVoda web site without further investigation. My own recommendation for non-technical folk wanting to build a free website (or very low cost, if you want a self-hosted site) is to look at WordPress. It's a powerful platform supported by numerous developers, with a vast community of users.

I love companies like Likno, because they truly care about their customers. They also plan for the stuff life throws at you. They give you multiple re-activations and you can always download your specific version again. Your license never expires either, as long as you have re-activations left :D I went into my account and found a key from a year or two ago that still had 2 activations left! I couldn't believe they still let me use it, even though it has been this long.

Also, these products are great if you have your own website, because what this program will do for you very quickly, would take a very long time to do manually.

Thank you, Likno Software and GOTD for the offering today. Installed and activated with no problem (Vista 32 bit system). It does help to follow the simple instructions in the readme file. Looks like a high quality program and I'm looking forward to using it. The fact that Suzan has been online here over 12 hours now addressing concerns speaks to their level of customer commitment. I certainly am not worried, as some are, about registering with an email address. You DO have more than one, don't you? You DO have a spam filter, don't you? (Not that I expect to be spammed.)

Thumbs up for this one, and I don't understand those who vote it down. Just because you can't use the software is not a valid reason. It DOES say in the description that "this application is intended to anyone that owns, builds or manages a website..."

Thanks again.

"-The only limitations of this download are no free tech support, no free upgrades (although you do get 10% off upgrades by creating an account) and it is strictly for non commercial usage."

Hello Tom,

This is Suzan from Likno Software team.

Well, it gets even better:

It is NOT strictly for non commercial usage, there is absolutely no problem with using this free license for business usage (in customer websites, etc.).

Only limitation concerns the infrequent “Distributed Applications” case: “A special license is required for using the compiled project code inside distributable local implementations (such as demos, distributed applications or CD-based webs). No special license is required for Intranets.”

This software install & activation went smoothly for me (Win 7 64x)- you must READ AND FOLLOW THE INSTRUCTIONS EXACTLY - if not, install probably won't work for you.

NOTE - I have Outpost Security Suite 7.5 installed, and (as with many other programs I've installed) I had to "temporarly - 5 min." suspend protection so OSS wouldn't muck up the install. BTW, only do this if you trust the install site.

QUESTION - this message appears in the "info" bar at the bottom of the program - "4.1 days ago Likno Web Accordion Builder: New Build #210 released, with new "Example 20 (FAQ)."

Are we allowed to use this upgrade?

Thanks for a fine looking software product.

"I tried to activate. At first I opened the wrong "help" (Windows help) near the top of the window.
I have successfully activated it now, as I realized that I needed to click the "Help" in the top Menu Bar and not the "Help" icon on the toolbar."

Hello,
This is Suzan from Likno Software team.

Indeed, please make sure that you click the “Help” menu item in the application menu (which is the right process), and not the “Help” button in the menubar.

So, click that “Help” menu item (on application menu) and then the “Enter Activation Code” item.

Hello,

This is Suzan from Likno Software team.

From our experience of previous GOTD offers and also from some user reports today, it appears that there are some "FALSE POSITIVE" antivirus issues on some PC configurations that inhibit the proper operation of either the GOTD INSTALLER or the APPLICATION itself (in few cases only).

First, we need to say as all our software is tested by 3rd parties and are absolutely clean of any viruses. So no worries on that side.

Now, some SOLUTIONS to the problems.

1. Problems related to the INSTALLER only, such as: "I get a reaction from Norton 2012 anti-virus – we24232.tmp detected by SONAR Risk – High. The setup file is then quarantined by NAV."

This has been verified to be a problem with the special GOTD installer and not with the Likno installer itself. So, if you experience such a problem with NAV, you may download and install the related Likno Installer from here:

http://likno.s3.amazonaws.com/LWAC/LiknoWebAccordionBuilderSetup_210_GOTD.exe

Then, manually open the Activation URL:
http://www.likno.com/m/44/GOTD2401

2. Problems related to the application itself, such as: "The Enter Activation Code form does not open", etc.

The Activation Form may cause some antivirus or other “security” software to interfere with it (“false positive”).

In such a case, please do the following:

1) Temporarily disable your antivirus (or other security software) including any “auto-protect” feature. Do not worry about our application, it is definitely “virus free” (tested and verified).

2) Re-install Likno Web Accordion Builder.

3) Activate it.

4) Add the two files under the “Res” folder (within the installation folder) to the “white-list” of your antivirus.

5) Enable your antivirus again.

Thank you and sorry for the problems you may have encountered in your particular PC configuration. It appears that some “false positives” exist on specific antiviruses (and versions) only, that cause this inconvenience only during setup (no problems afterwards).

Hi All: Review On Likno Products
I'm a Web-Developer/Designer ... I found that "Likno" products are qualified to be the best for Pro Developers or Users with a little back knowledge of HTML.
I know that the interface seems to be very complicated at first, the help section will give you a heart attack leaving you saying "Hell, I can never do that" (It seems shocking because it has every detail you might need) ... But taking a deeper look, playing a little with the program, you'll find it very easy and very useful.
Let's get to the complicated part: the "Positioning" ... you'll find in the help section a detailed explanation on how to place your work.
Give it a try ... It is totaly worth it ...

This is Suzan from Likno Software team.
About the following installation error:

“Could not install this product in XP SP3. TSU LOADER: error 32 while extracting TSU.DLL.

If you also have XP SP3, this could be related to the combination of the GOTD wrapper with our own Setup.
We had feedback from users on how to solve this:
“I clicked on the setup.exe file, GOTD screens passed by, and within seconds the error appeared.
To double check the error message, I ran setup again. This time, everything worked perfectly.

Also:
“I got the TSU.dll error in XP Pro. I just closed the popup and ran install again. Worked fine.

"Even though I’m signed in I cannot download the Example Pack 02 (extra designs)"

Hello Athan,

This is Suzan from Likno Software team.

We have checked this page and everything works as expected. In addition, nobody else told us something similar today or any other day.

Can you verify that this is happening again?

We are pretty sure that there is a misunderstanding on the link that needs to be clicked for the "Example Packs Installer" to be downloaded. If you still have a problem with it, please email us directly at support [AT] likno [DOT] com with a screenshot, so that we give the proper instructions.

"I’ve installed and provided the activation code but when looking at my Likno User Area I’m unclear if I have the ‘Unlimited Domains’ licence."

Hello Paul,

This is Suzan from Likno Software team.

Everybody using this GOTD gets the "Unlimited Domains" license, so you do have it!

We cannot contact you directly (by email) because we cannot know which "Paul" you are! (we had 25 "Paul"s activating the GOTD offer…) So please contact us instead.

To summarize our offer, with the Likno User Area account that you create upon activation you are able to:

1. Get the Activation Code

2. Re-download and re-install this version in the future

3. Download the extra Accordion Examples/Designs

4. Get support or updated versions at 10% OFF the retail price.

5. Become a "Likno user", which entitles you to discounts ("special price") on future purchases of other Likno products (example)

We believe that we have offered as much as we could to make today's GOTD users happy!

P.S. Still we cannot understand why we get the negative votes… if this is due to installation problems we are always here to help, just contact us and any problems will be administered properly!

"Because my security settings are very much something I should be able to set, I blame Likno for not programming things in a way that the activation-window does not work in all circumstances."

Hello BrainGel,

This is Suzan from Likno Software team.

Indeed, there is a "FALSE POSITIVE" with some antivirus settings that cause either the GOTD installer or our contained installer to fail installing the application properly.

We are sorry about this but the "FALSE POSITIVES" come and go without any typical pattern (different antivirus may cause a FALSE POSITIVE on different dates), so it is very difficult for us to make changes that will be 100% successful.

Such FALSE POSITIVES occur very rarely.

However, today there is a very special configuration: the GOTD installer is a WRAPPER to the Likno installer. In most cases the FALSE POSITIVE problem today is due to the combined GOTD/Likno installer, which makes things more complicated.

If you still care, can you please email us directly at support [AT] likno [DOT] com so that we send you what may be needed for the application to be installed properly? As said above, some users install without problems after we send them a non-GOTD installer. This may or may not be your case, but we would like to hear from you so that we help you with the installation (if you are interested).

Note: our office may be closed when you send us this email (we will be here from 08:00 GMT to 20:00 GMT today), but DO NOT WORRY, just email us and tomorrow we will send you all the required info to install and get the license. The "expiry date" of the GOTD offer is not a problem, we will support the users that had installation problems tomorrow too.

Thank you.

This is a webpage menu builder and a really good one at that.

As for myself I have been using Likno software for years (company registered) never had a problem. The generated code is easily transferred into a web page with outstanding results. If you build web pages for a living as I do, this is one of the must have pieces of software from Likno. Worth the price. It has a pretty big learning curve, but once mastered it becomes easy to create an outstanding menu system (Contracts prevent examples of what has been created by my company). Once you have the interface down and learn how to transfer the code, it is possible to put a menu inside of a menu. That is like books on a shelf with a table of contents opening inside each book.

Have lots of fun with this one, as for us... well... we already have it and at risk of generating competition, totally recommend it.

re: "TSU LOADER: error 32 while extracting TSU.DLL" error on XP3 machine.

When all fails, Follow The Instructions applies here :-)

The error displayed, then my system stalled on the installation dialog box which notes that: *Firefox browser should be closed.

So I tried again, after closing the browser - and viola - it installed without any further problems.

The only confusion after that was trying to get the activation code via the software's Help button, rather than using my browser menu Help button. Duh!!

Even though I managed a successful install without help from Likno's awesome support team, MANY MANY Thanks for their prompt response to my query.

I have worked in computer support for many years, and their prompt detailed support is UNMATCHED by any company I've dealt with.

Thanks GOTD and Likno!!!

The program was installed just fine, but when I click on Activate in the Help menu, nothing happens. Neither does clicking on Activate Now! in the Help menu help. I'm a webmaster and I would love to try this software, please help me out!

"For those concerned about email Spam, I first purchased from Likno in 2004 (AllWebMenu’s) I get the occasional offer, usually to alert me of upgrades being available. And in no way would I consider it Spam, when compared to the +million a day I get from other places to email address at my domain that do not even exist!
So unless their business model has changed, don’t expect tons of email.
"

Hello John,

This is Suzan from Likno Software team.

Thank you for your nice comments.

We need to say that this is totally true and that our business model remains the same, so indeed "don’t expect tons of email"!

We just send newsletters about product updates and new Builds at a pace of 1 newsletter per 40 days or so.

And users can simply opt out if they do not want to hear about these updates.

"I can’t even get the registration dialog to appear; absolutely nothing happens when I click on the “Enter Activation Code” menu item.
I suspect that they’re employing some overly sensitive anti-tamper code that gets tripped by some security software on my computer.
"

Hello Jim,

This is Suzan from Likno Software team.

This is indeed what is happening, unfortunately there is a "FALSE POSITIVE" with some antivirus settings that cause either the GOTD installer or our contained installer to fail installing the application properly.

However, do not worry!.

Please email us directly at support [AT] likno [DOT] com so that we send you what needed for the application to be installed properly.

Note: This is definitely a "FALSE POSITIVE" of the antivirus, as all our software is tested by 3rd parties and are absolutely clean of any viruses. So no worries on that side.

I also tried the activate procedure and did not get a code. I tried it again and clicked the add to an existing likno account since I had just created one and it popped right up. I just can't find anywhere to verify what my license is
