I like the visual quality at high desktop resolutions. It doesn't have to be perfect to be pleasing. Screen savers don't have to be run as screen savers--they can be run as relaxing animations. By the way, LCD screens don't need screensavers - they don't suffer from burn in...

I love your site and can't see anybody complaining about getting something free,but you know some people will look a gift horse in the mouth.All I have to say is keep up the good work and I love the screensaver I just downloaded and All of your software is top line.Just keep it up for all us people that appreciative a good thing when we see it.

First: Thank you GAOTD for the sites and the programs you offer to us each day. I, as I am sure many others are also, am very gratefull for what you are doing. I cannot afford to buy many things, due to health reasons, and what you have done for me deserves more than just my thanks and gratitude. Anyway, Thank you GAOTD!!!

Second: When I visit this site and the game site I look at what is offered and I get what interests me. If I don't like it I either don't get it or I uninstall it. If a program is really terrible, or really good, I will comment on it. Personally I could not see dl'ing everything from both sites. 365 programs times 2 is alot of stuff to put on my HD! Besides when would I find time to use any of them if I'm always installing new programs? What am I to do when my HD need more room? If people can afford to keep every program (times 2) they get everyday then I guess they have enough money to buy more space. I guess they have all the time in the world to use all those programs quite often! I don't know, but some games I just cannot get though in one day!

I am grateful for what GAOTD does for me with thier sites. I don't need every program they offer. I love reading the comments by users cause it makes me think about who I am and how I want to be. You know, how I want to be treated is by how I treat others! With respect comes to mind! It's no wonder this world is in such a mess.

I don't use screensavers, if I am not on the computer I turn off the monitor. But there are alot who do and this one looks nice. I also would like to thank the GAOTD team for the efforts put into this website! It's a shame some people complain about something FREE!!
I always look forward to coming here everyday and I am only disappointed with some of the comments I read. I for one am very greatful and appreciate all who contribute to make this website FREE!! KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK!!!!!!!!!!

Wow! Fantastic! At lower screen resolutions this appears to be a surrealistic world under an authentic sky. I caught myself looking for gnomes or leprechauns. Then when I set the resolution to a high level (2048x1536) the reality came through much more prominently. The rings on the tree stump can be counted. I like this very much. Thank you!

Ok Enough is enough. Surely you don't think GOTD is giving away software just to be nice to us?

This website has a clear purpose and thats to get software that is not selling well into the hands of a number of users that will hopefully try it out and maybe buy it someday if they like it

The reason that some of the software is not selling well is that is is plain not good and some have freeware equivilents that are better.

So please let people voice their opinions about the software.

Just because something is free does not mean its good or that you have to install it.

Also, if there is something that is good then it will hopefully get some attention here that it normally would not.

GOTD is not trying to be "friendly" by give you software.

CB, either you got it from some other source or you need to update Spybot's definitions. They did have more updates very recently. Spybot S & D is one of the malware removers I use, it's fully updated and it found absolutely nothing in this screensaver either before or after installation. My other (updated) security software also found nothing.

Didn't your mother ever tell you, "If you can't say something nice, don't say anything at all!" (unless it is a true concern about the program itself, which is what "positive" and "negative" are meant for.) This has been my screen name for years. I'm grateful for all the kindnesses that come my way. This attitude seems to be more rare these days.

Astronomy picture of the day is the greatest screensaver ever. and it's free.About three of the pictures a year stink, everything else is mind blowing! (unfortunately, one of the stinkeroos is todays pic, but I suggest you get it anyway. It's great. I try to push it on everyone.) Did I say it's great?

POOR - Athlon64 3600+, Ati 9600, 1gb Ram. I get 27fps at 1280x1024, and it stutters annoyingly. Serious resource hog especially considering the "so 7 years ago" graphics. Specifically, ATI had a demo for the Rage 128 video card that was as good or, I think, better than this - 7 years ago. No bump map, no skinning - boxy looking environment. I cannot recommend given the substandard qualities and completely unjustified resource demands.

I'm generally a fan of Astro gemini, but this screen just doesn't do it for me.
still...I totally support what this site does..and definately won't be one of those bitching about "yet another screen saver"

As far as screemsavers go, there are a lot worse out there for free. This is actually quite nice. Thank You GAOTD and Astro Gemini Software for this and all of the great software in the past too!

I'm not one to use a screen saver at all. But I really love the waterfall one. The graphics are really good. Thank you GOTD!!

I'm a forest ranger during the spring/summer season. This kinda software is eye candy to me. I love to let it sit and go while my computer is idle... (that is while I'm just doing paperwork in the old office cabin).

I have a marathon coming up, so I'll be training most of the time in the near future, but it's good to relax NOW with the screensaver going and music playing. Thx GOTD and developers.

That's a nice screen saver. I never use them personaly, but I thought I'd try it after reading all the pros and cons to see for myself.
