My mouse too is jumpy.
It is as if the cpu is busy on something else, and only pops back occasionally to carry out the mouse move instruction.

This is a very complicated procedure to just download the video from YouTube, the other options offered with this software seem to be easier to work with.. my only complaint is that it puts a start up on your machine.. I hate when software does that without asking first! Makes me think they must be wanting to spy upon me or something like that, since before it even opens up the software to be used.. my security is yelling wanting to tell it no or yes to connecting to the internet.. and with the start up in there too.. makes one a bit suspicious about what they are wanting to find out when I am not looking.

@ Patrick #52

I live in Belgium too, and I'm using XP SP3 most of the time, because I hate Vista, and I want to wait a stable version of Win7 before using it for my development (I'm a Linux and Windows programmer). So, I have still IE on my system, and 1AVC can launch it. But the fact is that it doesn't take into account the wishes of the user. By selecting Firefox as my default Browser, I have clearly indicated that I don't want to use IE. Ignoring that is a serious indication that the 1AV team has no respect for their customers. This is a fact, independent of the European monopolies laws. Furthermore, my question is still valid. How will the program react when IE is NOT present on the system? Crash? As far as I know, they claim to support Win7, and this might not be true, at least for the European market. The programmers and site creators MUST now know that IE is NOT a good browser, and that good alternatives exist. They will be forced to take that into account, thanks to the European laws! :-)

I fully agree with your analyse, but I think we cannot continue to ignore Win7. Vista was certainly the worst OS ever made, but Win7 has fixed most of the bugs and problems, and has even some very good things. It is still not completely sable, but after SP1, I guess we will be able to slowly switch from the old XP to a really new OS. (Although I have a dualboot with Linux Mint and I write my apps with partability in mind, I really think Linux is not a good alternative, given the fact that 90% of the programmers work exclusively for Windows.)

Hello again,

This GOTD has expired just a little wile ago, so this post may not get through or be delayed. I'm giving it a try anyway.

I would like to direct everyond to the developer's on line manual for this program: http://www.pcwinsoft.com/1AVCapture/user_guide/index.asp

I'm reading it now and it looks fairly (totally?) complete.
Petty though that screenshots are in black & white.

It really should solve most -if not all- of your problems.

Enjoy!

On behalf of a friend whom has installed this program, he asks ;

'' I just installed and activated the program. Seems to be working properly; however my mouse pointer jerks and is unstable.
I changed my color from 16bit to 32bit as advised during the setup process. Any ideas as to stabilizing the mouse? '

I personally have not encountered this problem, have any other members done so ?
If so, can you offer a '' fix '' ? Thank You, in anticipation .

Downloaded and installed on Window 7 64 bit. I installed as admin and activated before executing the program. When i click on the program to run it, i get the following error message: "Error at ReadCurrentLangIni()Reinstal to solve this problem." In order to get the program to work, I have to right click and run it as admin... This is a bit of a hassle. I tried to record the song that i was listening to and it work perfectly! I didn't have to mess with any of the default settings. I also took a look at the developer's website. The layout is very ugly in my opinion. It looks unprofessional and made me wary about installing the program at first. If i hadn't read the reviews here, I would not have install this program. The price of this is too high. Overall, I rank this 7/10

Downloaded and installed on PC running Vista SP2. I have to say, I'm pleasantly surprised. The resulting video recorded off the web is of course of lower quality than the original, but is much better than I expected. Sound recording is excellent, and the program is a general winner for me. My thanks to GAOTD and PCWinSoft!
